here be a viddy that i made for prep gwarlek 3b that i thought id show to people that wouldnt go 'nice vid but the music is a turd' like most peoples.tis obviously a workin process thang but id like to see what vibe i got from the aphex twin appreciation society.

Not a big fan. I generally don't like these kinds of videos though so I'm not a great measure. It seems rather cliched to make an electronic music video with beat-cut machinery footage, but since this track isn't electronic yet has a quirky mechanical sound, it does have a certain charm.

editing works nicely.

This song doesn't remind me of electronic gear though..

Its quite claustrophobic, and dark...i'm thinking low light (some black & white?), piano, underground (wet possibly to counterbalance the dry piano sound?)

thats just my opinion though (it still looks ok)

it must have taken a long time editing these pieces, and you've done a nice job really.

p.s. just watched it again, sort of has a cool 70's retro vibe aswell

Pretty cool man I can see where your coming from. I'm working on a Cock/Ver 10 video currently but it won't be out until July-ish I think due to GCSE and other shit. Its predicted to be 10x better than my On video.

i know ive got loads of ideas for so many songs. trouble is there all so ambitious i could never pull them off. im trying to do a videography of 7 or 8 drukqs tracks, simply cos there so different to the usual twin style, but again the locations and budget my ideas would require is limiting. this one only needed a camcorder and a videoplayer so it was pretty easy. it was to afx237v7, but the tempo of the track didnt match the edit id done so i scrapped it and refilmed and re-edited it all with prep. the editing was a bitch tho, but thats what i want to go into anyway so it aint so bad...thanks for the constructive criticism though guys, much appreciated.

hmmm, nice vid. could do with some more precise edits to the syncopation though (perhaps make sure you can see the waveform along the timeline). i also think it just needs a heavy rodgering of contrast to make the mechanics look less visceral and more striking. good work though

ive seen the one you did for afx237v7 and i think this one is alot better. the deep echoing of the song fit nicely with the moving machine parts, but id try and revisit the other song since it has a more electronic sound
