I'm more excited about Spinal and Fulgore gameplay footage for Killer Instinct than this, but who knows? Maybe this is absolutely amazing shit. Somehow. But yah... lol I was actually referring to some of the nonsense marketing bullshit they put out for the Roland Gaia SH-01 (yeah, remember that - what a total non entity that was) where they talked about "huge bass" and "massive sound" and other such derpish idioms.

Wavetable synth? lol Roland, musicians don't want 'new and exciting things', because for the last 10 years, give or take, you have completely set the bar for failing to meet your target audience and not listening to the heaps of producers small-time and big telling you to hearken to the days of old and blaze a new path with those components and ideas. My first IDM dabblings were on an old MC-303, it had shit for memory but it was fun to play with, kinda wish I still had the thing but I ended up selling it to a friend... This thing looks weird but I'm more curious how it sounds.

just listened on a subwoofer...the kick drum on that video above actually sounds pretty fucking shit, so does the snare. So i guess this will sound like a bad software emulation of a 909? It sounds worse than rebirth, even the '303' line it is kinda lol. jesus christ roland get your shit together.

edit: why is that kick so weak? it feels like it has no real attack, super softened 909 with no punch
