I love the smell of it but I can't smoke it these days. Makes me (more) neurotic, depressed, anxious, etc.

For around a year or so. I had unlimited stash from personal garden, was just doing artwork/music at home so had 100% personal schedule "free time". It was permastone city, mang. Wake n' bake, bake n' wank, weed n' feed, etc. It was fucking surreal.

Not in the general populace, no. People who are into punk/electronic/tribal/reggae etc. are into the scene, but as a society, it is pretty far from being accepted. So you had your own stash supply, which rules out the possibility of having bad or cut weed as the source of these problems.... did you literary smoke before every single meal, like, even a bowl of cereal and the likes?

As delet stated, yah, I did keep my high pretty frequent, but I actually did plan out my meals around smoking up. Eating became a ritual of going out to pickup some good food or getting delivery, smoking, eating. So major meals, I really did smoke before. But snacktime, I was either full or high, so same kind of thing.

I started when I was about 16 and really peaked between the age of 18-24, I'm talking a tenner's worth a day. It really mellowed me out in general, nothing really phases me anymore lol, although at the time I remember being paranoid to fuck! It also opened the door to other substances but that's another story.

 

Yeah I loved it, SAW 85-92 was always the record of choice, or endtroducing... I've had what I can only be described as spiritual experiences whilst on it and listening to music. It also helped to alter my perception of weird time signatures for the better.

 

I fancy getting another little stash just to dabble with but it'll probably blow my head off lol... As said, all in moderation - which it really wasn't before I took a break from it some 8 years ago (where does the time go???) and I really do enjoy a quality beer or cider nowadays to be honest.

I get anxious around lots of people too, but not with people I've never met before, say if I'm at a gig or something, it happens if it's a lot of people I know, it feels like a mild panic attack.

 

Oh and my memory is knackered too lol. I often go places and not only forget what I was going for, but end up doing something completely different. 10 minutes later I'm like oh shit I meant to do this and that lol

had this happen to me a couple of years ago after smoking every day for a while and it's happening to me now again. i don't mind b/c normally i have a voracious appetite, so this is kinda balancing me out. but, it's a good lesson that anything can disrupt your equilibrium, even weed.

The people that are against it just assume it effects everyone else the same way. I wondered if I would be better off without weed, but when I quit for several months while I was job hunting, I realized stopping wasn't an improvement and why wouldn't I want to relax? I had much better composure when I could smoke after a long day.

 

The people who have never smoked and are against it are always the people who need it the most. Without fail.

And thanks for the reply peace7. I used to live in Malaysia and it was the death penalty for trafficking and I believe even possession had severe consequences, but like you said if you know someone, it's not hard to find. Although most of the bud I got over there was sub-par at best.

Cutting weedz=Spray it with PCP or meth or other chemz or window cleaner (for pine smell) etc., for whatever fucking reason. Dudes-- remember in the UK several years ago, there was weed going around sprayed with glass or someshit to make it look crystally? Da fuk..... People are retarded.

I've heard stories of people putting kool-aid powder in the water during flowering to achieve unusual coloring or smell(have never witnessed this). But a friend of mine had what was supposed to be gdp, he squeezed a nug inside a tissue and it bled purple. I've tried this test several times with various purps and never got the color to bleed.

Also growing up in Miami if you got nickels from the ghetto it usually got you really high because it was either decent jamaican red hair, or it was sprayed with Raid.

Kool-Aid powder would do nothing to the flavor or color of the plant. Unusual coloring is genetically determined and also slightly environmentally determined i.e. some plants are going to turn purple no matter what, my friend has a cut that is pruple from seed to finish, buuuut. some plants display color due to changes in temperature, humidity, light intensity or cold shocking via intentional temperature drops and ice water for the waterings. It's not a really nice look when you fuck with the temperatures to color plants, TBH, it's mostly a black-purple color. Purple bud of pretty much any variety, yeilds like shit and IMO is nothing special other than the color and the generic-ass purple smell and taste.

 

Either the buds were too wet or were sprayed with something because even with a fresh off the plant and full of water nug you shouldn't ever be able to squeeze liquid out of them.

Laced weed is just an old wives tale. At least in Massachusetts

Yes and No. PCP was bigger in the 80's and this still is a concern in some cities. But, you're right that it's INCREDIBLY rare to buy bud that is laced without it being sold to you as so. Bud laced with PCP generally is sold as just a small amount of shake that has been dosed with PCP and doesn't really look like good weed in any experience I've ever heard of it.

 

Dumb people who have never smoked say 'it was laced' most of the time.

Happened to me once.. these days i wouldn't even know where to get shit bud.. most people just sell really nice weed. I presume a lot of it has shipped from the west coast.

laced weed is not entirely an urban legend, it's just really really unlikely. I got some once that I smoked before bed, burned like hell on the first hit, and I couldn't fall asleep til about 6 or 7 am. The whole time up to falling asleep, I was twitching and having panic attacks. worst I've ever felt in my life.

Dang that sucks man. The situation in Australia sounds rather awful. i'm not sure what happened in the U.S. Used to be a lot of schwag and mid-grade weed around but these days almost anyone I meet smokes bud quality enough to make a pretty picture at least.
