Music I know is so boring and wrong. Same chords, melodies and all. I love pink noise instead. And static. :)

static noise is a good way to describe a feature of my music. I like mixing static noise with tones and dissonance with consonance, mainly for more variety in music flavours. It makes the music less boring on repeated listening. You can't mix in too much, else it'll make the music sound horrible. My music sucks. I feel my music sounds not as good as it can be, the mixture of dissonance flavour might be a bit much or just not well done.

Satan

is that the moron that's gonna burn forever?

No. Satan is Richard D. James.

I guess my number one would be Pinback

followed very closely by mbv

and then probably BoC, but tbh after those two it the order becomes interchangable because I honestly see no point in ranking/ordering a big list... some other biggies would be:

Broadcast

Clark

and ae

(youtubes because i felt like it)

lol why satan?

well, I like Richard's music, but since Richard is Satan, then I guess it's really Satan who wrote all those music. So it's Satan closely followed by Richard.

does richard know that?

I once had a recording client ask me to flip over my RDJ Album CD cover because she didn't want Satan to keep staring at her.

Well, when I was fucked up mescaline, I've noticed that people at the rave were trying to make scary faces to me, like the one on the RDJ album. Funny the album was the first thing those people reminded me of. The mescaline trip was actually pretty fun, except the intensity of it.

I think exploring FSOL's back catalogue when I was 12/13 has had more of a profound effect on me than anything else. The depth of their production, the amount of samples and sounds in there, the huge range of styles and approaches on each album, without ever losing consistency, their ability to conjour images and atmospheres... they're definitely in a whole other league for me.
