2013 > 2014

By this time last year, we already had like a dozen classic albums, and the AOTY chart was one of the most hotly contended for the top spot (and for the top 10 in general).

This year seems a lot drier on hot releases imo.

A few notable releases so far; but nothing on the scale of the relentless 2013 schedule.

Post top albums from 2014, I may have missed something.

V. Snares may surpass this once i've heard it (not even listened to samples properly yet)

As far as quality goes, 2014 seems to have a lot of fusion of footwork/juke, trap, vaporwave/seapunk, post American style dubstep, post rave, and pop.

Still need to get that Untold album! Been meaning to get it for awhile but never seemed to get round to it

looking forward to the new snares album (Its out next week right?)

Also cant wait for Trim's Album, speaking of which he dropped 2 awesome mixtapes recently for anyone into the grimey stuff

Yeah I'm diving back into tape labels and bandcamp stuff personally. 2013 just was just fucking epic (I don't throw that term around either)

Besides the albums mentioned already, Fennesz Bécs is quite good.

I'm stoked for the new Grimes and Wolves In The Throne Room albums, I think the xx are putting out another one, they're currently in Marfa, TX recording it.
