And ceephax - Cro magnox. Stone cold classic IMO.

Agree on Leyland Kirby's efforts from this year though, both cracking releases especially the 40 tracks on his 40th birthday.

Talented underground artists seem to be getting more and more popular too, I'm no hip hop expert but it seems that way. Hopefully it starts to change the tastes of the mainstream listeners and gets them wanting more rap with substance.

Fair enough man, I get why it rubbed some the wrong way in parts, but it completely worked for me.

I'll forgive you. :cisfor:

No. It's garbage. It is 2013's biggest embarrassment to music and one of Warp's worst signings since Battles.

Edit: No Offense.

I recreated the entire album by eating 4 cans of Campbells condensed cream of asparagus soup where I substituted heavy cream for the milk and taking a bunch of ex-lax at the same time.

No no, it's just a terrible album.

"In my opinion (lol)", of course.

I like how our standards have fallen since the early 2000s.

There are people in these forums that put Kanye West's "Yeezus" in their top 5 of 2013. I suppose they know good music too, right? Since they enjoy an album that I don't?

Which artists do you have in mind?

The new Pro Era ep is really solid, and I'm waiting for the new Big Krit as well.

I'm really looking forward to new TDE stuff: Ab-soul, Jay Rock, Kendrick. I like Oxymoron more than some. Isaiah Rashad is great. Joey Bada$$ has an album in the fall, Action Bronson has one coming out. Those Flatbush Zombies singles are sick. The Underachievers have one coming out this year and the singles were nice. Theres definitely more I'm missing and that's just that particular niche. Piñata was bound to be one of my favorites and it delivered. Smoke DZA's Dream.Zone.Achieve has some sick production, as does Curren$y's Drive-In Theater. Good times all around. And I still think this is just one corner of the hip hop world.

Even if you're put off by the whole Chicago drill thing, Lil Herb's mixtape Welcome to Fazoland is really solid. Way more lyrical than most Chicago rappers I've heard and it bumps.
