I'm pretty sure the Rubber Johnny film was just a short film made by Cunningham in his spare time, I don't believe it was a tie in with anything. Could be wrong but...

Nah, that all started with a commercial for Drukqs, Cunningham was dressed in that costume and recording that commercial on 9/11-2001. Years later it was made into a short movie.
