Am I the only one who think it's just a clear ploy by the festival to be all coy pretending that something is happening, knowing that it'll increase attendance, when realistically nothing will happen.

Besides name recognition, not much (plus they're not really lying as well). It's likely but it's mainly that pretty much anything could happen now. He likes to do suprise gigs apparently, and looking at the BoC campaign, nothing is too crazy for the Warp marketing crew. We'll see!

It was pretty small couldn't of cost all that much, the guy looking after the blimp was pretty hilarious, he looked like what id imagine aphex looking like after a fresh shave and a hair cut with these mysterious blue shades. He said he was sworn to secrecy by Warp not to say anything, I asked why are you so mysterious, he replied 'maybe warp told me to be or maybe I am just a really mysterious guy'.... I really dont imagine any kind of album release or show in a super trendy craft beer festival. I think the whole stunt was to get the picture circulating around the net... a job well done!

 

I popped back a few times throughout the night and the only promising thing is that crazy vehicle. besides the blimp and stencils in NY and LDN you would have thought warp would have reached out to more major cities like a full scale ad attack.

Yeah. Wasn't it in the air for a short time? They just wanted some people to take pictures so it would start trending. Which by the way I thought I'd never see the words "Aphex Twin currently trending" anywhere ever with that little up arrow sign next to it.
