I finally gave this a proper listen yesterday. Played it over and over and over again. It was a wonderful feeling, a nice break from my bad habit of skipping around and sometimes, regrettably, flippantly streaming music online.

I joined WATMM in 2008 after years of increased obsessiveness over RDJ's discography and career.I sought information on his production methods, his musical peers and influences, the insight other fans had on his artistry. In particular I was absolutely fascinated by his obscure and rare releases (hell, Universal Indicator is still alien and mysterious to me), making the Caustic Window release truly special for me as fan. It was literally right before the drought of anything remotely new from RDJ - the Konklaver hoax, the live snippets in his DJ sets, reissues, various fakes and debates of alleged aliases...so Syro's emergence is still something I haven't quite wrapped my head around.

My first listening experience of Aphex Twin was in 2004 (the RDJ album specifically), so only the Tuss and Analord projects were "new" to me. There are definitely times were I felt ok with the fact that a new Aphex Twin album would never come. Yet here it is. My first reactions to "Minipops 67" is that it's a happy marriage of Tuss and Analord production methods with his experimental ethos of the past - those vocals @ 2:55 - favorite part. Even after pouring over the Manchester track all of this time, this still sounds so new and exciting.

And this is just ONE track. I'm absolutely elated.

Less than a week! I can't listen to this track enough! I wake up in the middle of the night with it in my head. I love Aphex! I'm so excited. I've checked this god-4-saken website everyday for fucking YEARS with NO news and we're so close! Holy Shit! Oh my god! Anybody else feel like this everyday? Can't wait to hear that METZ track in HD glory! My speakers and headphones have no idea what they are about to be put through! Fanboy I am! BRING IT ALREADY!

It sounds kinda cool in reverse at 2x. I pressed the previous button in quicktime thinking that it would go back to the start of the track, but it started playing backwards and I was like omg.

Yeah, so this track inspired me to my best ever score this year on the golf course, a 65 winning the medal.

I usually get nervous as hell when the pressure is on, and i knew i had a 66 to beat. Rather than fold under pressure, i kept thinking of minipops rather than thinking about my swing. It just seemed to work.

Here's my scorecard:

After that bogey on 13 i knew i had to claw a couple of birdies back to get back in the mix. I'd been listening to the track on my earphones in the practice area before teeing off for about 20 minutes before i started playing. Totally chilled out. I usually get wound up and frustrated on the course. Today it just worked.

Dunno if they're are any sporting watmmers, but i just thought i'd let y'all know this track works for golf :-D

played it on my system in the middle of a set at my night tonight

He's actually quite tolerable here, lot of apt praise for the track.

One of the peaceful perfections in life is a great round of golf on a beautiful day with earbuds pumping jams.

(Bob Wilson) Sorry... you created that reality tunnel, you can find your way out... You built the Trap... you know the design better than anyone...sagatsfz3stage.jpg

People complaining? Not only is it great, but it's the oldest track on the album. Made the same year Rushup Edge came out and already a big progression from that. Either way it's better than all of tomorrow's harvest.

how do you inverse a track?

Split the stereo track in two mono tracks, phase inverse one of them, pan them both to center.

inversed prolapse imminent
