my first drum machine

Well shoot, if that counts, then it was my first! I never used it for one shots though... Always looped things

I've got a hr-16, it's pretty mental. Not my preferred style of sequencer though.

I always wanted one of these just because I heard somewhere that this is what Seefeel used.

The sounds are pretty great, especially if you get the HR-16B, which has the "pop" and "puh" sounds used in the Seinfeld theme as well as a bunch of ridiculous late 80s sounds. The sequencer is pretty high resolution (it's pretty similar to the MMT-8 which Autechre used back in the mid 90s I think) but there is almost no visual representation of what's in the sequence. I think there is some way to program it like a step sequencer but I do not get along with that style of sequencer at all..
