wow. i was out much of yesterday so i'm catching up this morning on the 40-odd tracks that have been uploaded i haven't listened to yet. this is incredible. it's not like these tracks just weren't good enough to make a release; many are on par or exceed released stuff.

Oh man, that dark version of Girl/Boy is really making me hopeful for the live version of Heliosphan to come out. I remember years ago writing a post about how he should release an album with "updated" tracks (a la Kraftwerks "The Mix") where that could be included, but if he drops it on Soundcloud that is just fine by me!

 

P.S. I think I might prefer the dark version to the original. Could be the novelty, but time will tell.

DUDES stop worring about "hope someone downloading it". almost everyone does. i download the next second track pop ups, there are literally thousands of people who do the same shit. everything will be kept, with comments and stuff and uploaded in big ZIP when all this shit will end 100% (if it ever ends, i hope not)

During the downtime I've gone back to 19 Ssnb. Already one of my favorite Aphex Twin tracks ever, I can't believe this never made it out.

 

It really makes me wonder the quality of tunes Boards of Canada must be sitting on after all this time.

Yes, Ssnb is just incredible. The best track so far.

It would be awesome if RDJ took votes on top 10-15 tracks, turned it around and pressed vinyls.

cant keep track of the discussion but '8. Metal Beat' sounds like an alternate version of the Come to Daddy (mummy mix) track with only the beat

 

It sounded like he adapted the techniques to bucephalus bouncing ball. Not sure about the mummy mix. Haven't heard it in a while.

Girl/Boy is one of my favourite songs ever. This is bombastic. The only thing that could top it for me is a Flim alt version.

 

He can't do that, otherwise Skrillex would die from a heart attack and kids all over the world would start hating Afx.

i wish there was a way one could download the whole page in one go, or maybe, i don't know if it's possible, but create a new playlist and import all afx tracks there, and then use one of those sites to download the entire playlist?

with jdownloader you can load them all in one go. Just copy the account's url, and jdownloader grabs all links. 96 by now. S.i.x.t.y.n.i.n.e.!!! What great times!
