I'd like to buy you a beer man. I was trying to download all this shit individually, bleary eyed at 5am and made a right hodge-podge of it all and wanted to break my laptop in two across my knee. Anyway, cheers.

Good times for Aphex fans

hah, the coors 'light' is yours, the 'export' is mine

The beginning of "buchla 200 quad eg, fm osc fb network edit master edit+3" sounds like it's used in the Wagon Christ scifi staircase remix.

Listening Jamming out hard as fuck to 2 tran 1 env delay edit+3 [time kink], this is the stuff that makes me love his music like the stuff I make for myself. Fascinating to me.

Agreed. And it sounds like Serge Modular Wilson Analog Delay (WAD) and Transient Generators (DTG) to me.

I remember when that synth in that track dropped. I completely lost my shit at that exact moment. I was really into Gescom's A1-D1 around that time and hearing the original track for the first time, at an Aphex gig was just top.

:catsalute: Jesus heck to fucknut christ

hardcore history podcast has an episode (that's still free) on the ww2 atomic bombings and it covers a lot in a few hours. one thing a lot of people don't realize is that the firebombings already being carried out by the allies were similar, equivalent, or worse in collateral damage.

Edited by very honest

so altogether we get 65 minutes of awesome modular stuff, and 80 minutes of structured unreleased tracks.

that's a fuckload of awesome free music.

Download free software called Audacity for all your basic audio editing needs.

Or just download from here: REMOVE

(EDIT: My browser turns the link into a playable item, remove the "REMOVE" to download it)

It is amazingly good.

And CIRCLONT4A[plydslow]+N[unmastered] is also sooo good. And Synthacon1... Thank you very much Dave and Rich!

that really is pretty insane if he actually sequenced and recorded syro live to tape, and didn't edit or re-arrange anything afterwards. i have no reason to doubt that he did. pretty nuts tho

i mean, i think if everyone had the kind of resources he had, more people could attempt things like that. but of course you'd have to do lots of research for what to buy, lots of manual reading, etc, to figure out how to set everything up to work the way you want it in the first place. but i think lots of people here could do it if they had a million dollars to spend on accumulating synths and modifying them for midi ins, and all the other equipment needed. obviously the results being as good is another thing entirely. but actually having complex tracks like these set up so that all the sounds are playing together, and all eqing, compression, etc (and even having a setup that switches routing to other equalizers etc on program changes happening during the track), and all this is going on while constructing the track and it culminates in recording it to 2track tape, no edits no nothing afterward except for mastering... fuck

pretty intense

sounds pretty fun (and potentially disastrous/frustrating as fuck) tho
