what's the mastering situation like? better be good enough or I'm gonna be well upset

DiskPrept1 sounds really amazing, its like he took the Drukqs piano track style into a very large scale gong/gamelan ensemble. Any idea what hes using to record this stuff? Part of me thinks its binaural microphones, but it could have just been how stoned i was listening to it on headphones

hey lovely member full of love and understanding and respect. Ive listened to more then 1000 album last year. Im not trying to brag at all either. who cares? listening to 3 album per day isnt the end of the world, is it? I really wonder why you get so mad about my post. Take it easy and show a little bit more respect. For your own sake, really. It feels great to love more and hate less.

oh, and I really like the new EP. I'm not talking crap at all, I like the EP.

mods, I dont understand why such a inflammatory comment isnt deleted. Ivan ooze is constantly reducing and insulting every member who doesn't agree with his taste. I dont care personally, but he is one of the few members that is bullying often and repeatedly.

my immediate reaction from hearing this.. i heard someone describe it as neoclassical and i honestly i had to look up what that means but i would agree. the mix is really brilliant, each sound has it's own place in the mix and it creates some beautiful sonic imagery. i imagine like a 3d sound spectrum. for instance 'piano un1 arpej' to me sounds like a bow shape. i think he utilized this a lot in syro too and i haven't seen much mention of it. syro was also brilliantly mixed.

it sounds like the short drum tracks are meant to be on top of another track on the ep. it feels like these sounds are midi samples cut out of unreleased tracks and used to control the acoustic instruments like the robotic snare we've seen. i feel like in a lot of ways this EP is a call to action (hence it's neoclassical-ism) for producers. when i listen to snar2 i imagine how i would create that pattern in ableton, and i just watched a tutorial video about it the other day.

all in all, it has its boring moments, but it was inspiring for me, trying to get into the technical side of audio engineering. should not be overlooked

and who knows maybe he will take some of the parts here and develop them into techno tracks in other ways? also this begs to be sampled, like i want to make a drum rack out of the sounds here and create something myself. would he care?

I guess I could see this as being.. polarizing .. But damn I like it. I'm already reaching OD zone though. Better give it a break. And maybe I like it especially as I'm listening to it as a sort of a 'bonus' release. Not his next big thing. It was also an added pleasure of putting it on the fist time not really knowing what the hell to expect (unlike Syro).

Drukqs is like one of my favorite albums ever, I remember listening to the piano pieces and the weird acoustic segments and thinking "man I wish he did more stuff like this" and now here you go. It's not bad. But maybe it's better when it's alternating with complex electronic music.

I can't really see how a surprise EP announced 2 weeks prior to release, mere months after a spectacular LP release, is dissappointing, but to each his/her own!!! That's what opinions are for!

Mine - I think this is fucking great and I love how absolutely weird it is. If I wanted another Drukgs, SAWII etc I would just go listen to those records? All of his creations are different and should be treated as such

I hope this rip is the 33rpm version. would be interested to have a sped up version.

listening on the ripped speed is ok, but put it on vlc on the slighlty faster option and its better
