So what is the current total of all legit Aphex tracks posted to other SoundCloud accounts? Still zero I presume? :emotawesomepm9:

Yep.

Although there are a whole bund of interesting peripheral SC accounts, I doubt any of them are legit. Feel like he would have admitted to ownership by now, at least indirectly. Unless, he plans on infinitely posting old tracks, as I'm sure there's at least 1,000 of 'em ;), and perpetuating the prank on and on forever....fingers crossed

I was convinced this soundcloud was RDJ having some fun posting raw mixdowns (kind of jams really) of analord-like tracks in YLC just to see what people would say. They sure doesn't have the level of achievement you usually find in RDJ's tracks but they have so much of AFX little touches that it's hard for me to think it could be someone else.

anyway those two tracks are brilliant :

And this one

I would like to thank everyone here for their extraordinary work leading to the discovery of Richard's musical deluge. He has been my favorite musician for twenty years and this kind of event is life changing, as I'm sure you all feel. I had an account in the joyrex.com days and have been lurking here for years, moreso after the impressive Caustic Window kickstarter. This board is the reason we've come to this pivotal moment in Aphex history.

Lame intro aside, I noticed a weird soundcloud account that I don't think has been mentioned here - https://soundcloud.com/brainwaltzera

I saw it comment on one of user48736353001's songs then saw that it left the same comment 25 times: "That's funny. I too have a similar setup and I submitted a track on that Bleep competition but I didn't get any notice. I even sent it to that Future Music Magazine in the mid 90s and they never reviewed it" One of the songs on the account is called "25hr [[8deez1wik] lamp_on rimix 4 M@d0Nn@" and the description says "could get in trouble for this. will she hear it. with expert knob twiddling friend o' mine who shouldn't av mentioned tapes....drinks?" All the songs are tagged #afx and there are some other references. What does everyone think? Sorry if this is dumb or has been posted before.

AND this one...wow. But def not Aphex

that one's mike p

I'm not too sure.

Only one of the tracks sound anything like ziq to me. The rest sound nothing like Mike. Did he pipe up somewhere to say it was him?

I dunno there's def more than one that sounds like MikeP but mostly from the Tango N' Vectif and Lunatic Harness period. Also that slag plum track sounds like an outtake from the Royal Astronomy album and fled winter like an outtake from his dark break-up album. I know my μ-ziq and they feel right...underproduced....but right. The only tracks that are totally off and dodgy are that lame stretched-out 38 minute track and the bibio remix (i don't know if it actually is a bibio remix....anyone?). Also that Jenkinson wannabe Squarepusher track isn't a bit off too.

Only the slagplum track sounds anything like Mike to me. And I don't really think Mike would tag all his stuff as "afx" lol.

I'm pretty sure it's just a random trying to get some exposure using some paradinas/afx speculation.

It has a track posted to that account 3 years ago btw that sounds nothing like Mike P whatsoever. Sounds kind of like frog pocket.

Fair enough. I guess it does kinda sound like Frog Pocket. And that might explain the μ littered all over the page too. Can we all agree at least that it's def not afx?

Oh, definitely not afx!

I seriously doubt Mike P. would tag his tracks AFX.

Oh right, missed a bunch of posts. Soz!

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Cool article up over at the Boiler Room site outlining reactions of RDJ's peers to the Soundcloud releases. An interesting little interview with Mike Paradinas is coupled with an upload of a previous unreleased μ-ziq track from those early days. Does this strengthen or dispute the brainwaltzera rumours?
