I highly doubt that. That franchise died along time ago with no hope of rescue. He would be wise to have nothing to do with it. He should just stop avatar as well and make battle angel already!

Unfortunately the film is still mostly the same unengaging filmmaking as the theatrical cut. It's a little better overall, but the ending is basically the same, save for one detail. Edited February 20, 2015 by Gocab

This is the only franchise that will get my money no matter how shit it looks. Elysium was terrible, so I'm not sure how I feel about Blomkamp at the moment.

Yeah, I think Blomkap is pretty shit. District 9 was heavy-handed, weak, and visually repulsive. Elysium looked to be more of the same, so I didn't even give it a viewing. Chappie looks absolutely idiotic. I have no faith in his abilities, especially after the Alien designs and story idea he vomited onto the internet.

yeah the ending i was shaking my head a bit, when they are all running around & real bishop goes 'nnnnoooooooooo.....' but overall enjoyed it in a b-movie way, where the 'nnnnoooooooo' actually fits also the sections where the alien is running around the proportions are all wrong & very dodgy cgi u try to ignore, but would still say well worth a watch.... quite a few interesting docs on utube about the 1st 3 films...
