That looks delicious. What kind of bread is that though?

It's a half sized ciabatta, one of those par-baked jobbies. Not quite the same as the cuban bread, but a Cubano is similar in style to Panini, so probably close enough.

Tonight I had a roast chicken, was marinated overnight in various dried mexican chillies, garlic and a few spices, added half a bottle of beer to the pan and covered it with foil with half an hour to go, made it really moist. Had it with a side of roast veg salsa (onions, fresh chillies, peppers, tomatoes, coriander) and rice. My brother's doing, will be having again, was gorgeous.

Tonight I had balsamic glazed chicken, mushrooms stuffed with feta/herbs/red bell pepper, and some nice fresh cooked brocolli.

I had an orange for dessert.

I'm wondering exactly this, what will I be having for dinner tonight? Any new suggestions welcome

foods in the tone of 'go to the fuckin store'

patayda chips

apple cracker thangies

carrots in brown paper bag

Threw some pork ribs on the smoker last night. Jack daniels wood chips (made from the barrels JD ages in). Side of peas and corn and a kind of beet salad - beets with goat feta, herbs, chopped walnuts and topped with balsamic vinegar.

Was amazing. Incredibly easy to make too.

almost. started eating fish again recently

That's alright though. I can't imagine actually giving up all sources of meat/fish. I imagine it was extremely difficult.

not really. never been a huge meat eater. don't get peoples need / addiction to eat meat every day / multiple times a day.

the most difficult thing about not eating meat is having to justify it and answer the same boring questions about why you don't eat meat as if you're from another planet or something

i'm not an annoying radical proselytising veggie

though i will say anybody who got all upset about fucking cedric yet eats meat can stfu

I don't understand it either, but I can say I'm pretty much like that particularly with dinner. I can have a decent lunch with no meat but I don't feel complete not eating meat with my dinner. I'm really not sure why that is tbh.

I don't see a need to justify not eating meat though, no different than I shouldn't need to justify to people why I don't eat potatoes or starchy foods. We should all be able to eat whatever makes us feel healthy.

edit: but your meal seriously sounded delicious I would totally have that for dinner no questions arsed

The last two days I've made an awesome and simple cold Thai noodle dish.

You make a simple sauce from honey, soy, chili paste, fish sauce, and lime juice.

You fry some chicken just the way you like it (I like to add peanut butter) and wait for it to cool down.

Boil some noodles and once they're done you put them in cold water.

Then you chop a fuckload of coriander, mint, and Thai basil , half a cucumber - maybe some spring onion as well.

Mix it all together and voila! FUCK YEAH'

the stuff i eat is boring compared to this stuff

Last two nights have been heavy BBQ nights...ribs, gyutan, sam gyeop sal, squid, mushrooms, and other assorted vegetables. It's been a feastful weekend.

Sorry no pics, was too busy BBQing!
