the sonic losing his rings sound was from a vibert track that led into the song. Wouldn't be too hard to add back in.

sounds like an OBERHEIM Dmx clap to me. The bass drum in produk 29 is also dmx

You can also achieve a similar 'guiro-like' texture with claps by duplicating a series of them a fraction of a second apart in an audio editor.

I'm struck by how much he's playing with reverb. Lots of old room and spring reverbs...pulling them in and out like instruments to get different timbres. Maybe just letting his whole sequence run and record while spontaneously twisting reverb send knobs on the mixer.
