That theory makes sense Bubba. Syro with emt bonus beats (4) and simple slamming (5) would have been a very different album.

Simple slamming is like if analord 9 and analord 11 had a baby

Faaaaark. That sounds so good. Im pretty sure i heard simple slamming and dont remember it sounding anything like analord 9 or 11 or the love child of 9 and 11 but still faaaark that mental conjunction of the two styles banging away in my head is soounding sooooo good right now :>

I would say it has the raveness of A9 and the eeriness of A11

wait lol, i haven't heard simple slamming. was thinking of oberheim. oh boy, analord 9 and 11 sweet baby lovechild . it's happening !!!

Norman Records review:

"Laurie gave this 8 out of 10...

Not sure about you, but I can no longer keep up with this man-thing. New material is coming at a crazy rate, his sneaky tricks amongst them all. Oh wow, this user09784738 isnt half bad at making glitch chill tech madness, where did they conjure these 200 tracks from? And now hes playing the same card as computer controlled acoustic instruments, the ol 33/45 RPM card. So this review will jump between the two.

So AFX is currently grooving Syro-style, broken and upbeat, borderline rave and WHOA suddenly the speed kicks in and things are 200mph and snares sound like tin cans and is the needle stuck or is this just the 4th track? And back to reality, where Mr. James is chopping an odd-time groove, joined by virtually no synth but very much in jazz drum jamming mode, but if said drummer forgot about variation until the final bars.

So far its been a bit closer to Syro than the old AFX classix, until the wax is turned and WHOA were at breakneck Analord hardstyle thump and the bass is wompy underneath spitting chopped breaks and its reacting with the coffee in my veins with fury and vigour. 45rpm is too dangerous, Im going back. The midipipes are now sounding a cautious spook fanfare as sanity dissolves around you, the detuned pads making a mockery of your ears. Even the chilled tracks are fucked. The penultimate tune is definitely the highlight of the 12, serving as a great homage to late 90s downtempo sessions but with all the dexterity you expect from the man of many names. Sling this one up to approx. 40rpm and youre onto a deejay winner, some exuberant primetime club action. We all know what to expect from RDJ now, but are all ears nonetheless, keep em coming."

why is this listed as "..2006-2008" everywhere if the cover clearly states "..2006-08"

Very poor that you felt the need to write this. It's one of those posts you want to punch. Punch the computer screen and try to make sure the knuckle makes contact with the annoying body of text. It was an absolutely appalling post and spoke volumes about your state of mind. You're in a dark place.

It's a new thing. I had an email from Bleep saying that my Syro, CCAI and MARCHROMT downloads have all been upgraded to FLAC. :music:

Bleep have never done me dirty, and now they're doing it big with the free FLAC for no reason? Plus their shit always seems to be on time.

Well I've finally listened to the full thing. bonus EMT beats, simple slamming b 2 and NEOTEKT72 are the stand-out tunes for me. Can't say I'm too overwhelmed with the EP in general, though.

Seen loads of peeps saying Bleep is shit but they've been nothing but good to me, had loads of freebies off them over the years; free albums, stickers, allsorts!

yeah I'm gonna have to pick this up; I listened on spotify today and it's bangin'. Might wait until I'm in Japan in a few weeks though.. can anyone confirm that some extra goodies come with the Japanese vinyl if bought in stores or is it just for the CD?
