These live sets are COOL gtfo hater

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

That wiki page with all the live sets dissected helped a bunch in choosing which sets to start with.  Lyon, Madrid and Paris were the way to go.

Still busy experiencing Lyon though. Moments of pure bliss mixed with moments of "WTF what planet is this!?". There's quite a few moments where I believe there's two tracks playing simultaneously. But Lyon is definitely a step above the older sets before though (2022 and all that). There's a bit more electro in the Lyon set. 🙂

Why did you choose sets with such a massive overlap? Just curious because zero overlap made more sense to me personally.

Perhaps we were looking at different info. But i went for longest sets with least overlap. What are your choices?

I used this table. I went with Krems -> Lyon as there seems to be no overlap at all and it covers everything in your three sets. At least according to the table.

Looks good! 👍

Paris is longer than Krems, so went with that. And I went with Madrid because it was the longest of the Rennes/Barcelona/Madrid sets. Where it looks like they changed their set from what it was before. And yes, it overlaps with both Paris and Lyon. That went into the list to follow the evolution, if you will.

I'm not to hang up about it though. Because I bought all of them at once. Nothing lost, right?

If you want to spend the least amount, Krems/Lyon seems cool!

Ok, yeah, that makes sense.

i thought brussels>lyon was the way to go but i somehow missed that krems covers the exact same material as brussels and is newer (and therefore better, obviously) whoops

  • 3 months later...

Just realized there were 12 new AE_2022 in November 2024. Instabought the noodlefest for EUR 30.

Bleep. Please don't let the intern do the tech stuff. Why don't you distribute the 24bit files as flacs, so they can have proper metadata and the embedded covers, which otherwise are absent? I had to DL the mp3s as well, just in order to drag out covers and metadata. You experts would save some bandwidth. BTW, flac 1.5 has been released yesterday.

Well at least the peak at pretty exactly zero db, so there is some progress. (Confield e.g., older CDs, they clipped quite significantly).

Oh those tables above are track timestamps? If I had some time I'd create cuesheets and split files (flac are gapless anyway). Maybe at some point. Or maybe someone did already create cue's?

I created CUESHEETs for the 19 AE_2022 sets and used the bottom table from Eclipsis posting. Tracks are named according to the columns, e.g. "AE_2022#39"

The CUESHEETS reference below files, so either name your files accordingly or change the filename inside the cuesheet (which is a text file). Or embed into flacs e.g. via fb2k, then name is irrelevant.

AIFF would be my preferred option of choice
