Kendrick appears to have some integrity at least....and regardless of the sermonising the guy has bars, content and chooses quality musicians and producers. He's pretty much 3 for 3 right now on classic level shit....he's has reinvigorated a dead end scene in the last years....I'm cringing right now with my groupyism

I've been listening to Van Dyke Parks' Song Cycle a lot lately, and I was like "hmm...who is the Van Dyke Parks of hip-hop?" And I think Madlib is the only dude even close (and only some of the time).

Anyway...sure as fuck isn't Kendrick Lamar.

TLOP is pretty good, but not great. 6.5/10, enjoyed it.

madlib+Gibbs is my fav project of recent years.

I personally prefer the previous release of kendrick like mad kid mad city or section 80, but TPAB is pretty good.

My fav rap artist of recent years is the self-made big krit.

I was grossed out by the "crack and guns" theme running through the Madlib/Gibbs stuff
