TV Series Recommendations

Just got finished watching all seasons of Entourage - fucking amazing

I heard good things about Californication.. should I hit that up or are there any others good HBO/Showtime comedies out there?

maybe you could try explaining what is fucking amazing about entourage

looks like a show about people i would never intentionally interact with tbh

its obviously not amazing but its entertaining and i enjoyed it - thus I made a thread asking about other HBO/Showtime comedies

on a side note: are the sopranos rly that good? I should get into that too!

I Just got done watching firefly, its a weird sci-fi spaceship western.

It was different.

There is only 1 season though.

asides from whats already been mentioned, check out dexter! entourage is a fun show, perhaps not a brilliant one but i love watching it. internet opinions RULE

I don't think Entourage is amazing but I enjoy watching it, I think I'm on the 4th season. It's formulaic but it's entertainment in small doses. Funny you mention Californication as I am also watching that one, think I just finished season 3. If you like one I think you'll like the other.

As for Sopranos, I don't think I saw the last 2 seasons but I remember watching the first 3 or so on DVD and really enjoyed them. I wonder if they'd be a little dated now, not sure. Might as well get season 1 and see for yourself, I don't think it'll disappoint.

I started to watch The Wire recently too (season 1) and it's alright. I got into the storyline, but overall I feel like it's too similar to network TV cop shows, but with bad words and more blood. The acting's no better.

Two others I'm planning to watch soon are It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Arrested Development, I've heard great things about both. Not sure what channels those aired on.

Arrested Development is universally accepted as genius.

I also liked entourage, and Ari Gold is hilarious.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, LOST, The Wire, Dexter, Sopranos, Always Sunny in Philadelphia...

Six Feet Under pwns everything. Sit down and watch the whole thing from start to finish. Some of the best character development and writing I've ever experienced that was not in a book.

I don't think there exist enough Entourage fans to go around for that.

survivorman is the only good show on tv.

So Entourage is starting up again :)

I enjoy it, just a fun bit of entertainment. And it's easy on the eyes. Plus Jeremy Piven is fucking great.
