though this is reminding me of Richard Stallman's method of browsing the web which is also pretty IDM

I am careful in how I use the Internet.

I generally do not connect to web sites from my own machine, aside from a few sites I have some special relationship with. I usually fetch web pages from other sites by sending mail to a program (see git://git.gnu.org/womb/hacks.git) that fetches them, much like wget, and then mails them back to me. Then I look at them using a web browser, unless it is easy to see the text in the HTML page directly. I usually try lynx first, then a graphical browser if the page needs it (using konqueror, which won't fetch from other sites in such a situation).

I occasionally also browse unrelated sites using IceCat via Tor. Except for rare cases, I do not identify myself to them. I think that is enough to prevent my browsing from being connected with me.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

I'd also like to nominate what I'm doing right now: 'working from home'

Finding old Roland gear in second hand shops in rural Europe. (I found a Roland MPC in a South Portugal shop that sold cheap dvds, the owner just painted all day). Pulling my first world war aviator goggles down over my head I exited into the white painted windy orange hue.

RMS is too beautiful for our world.

(Although I wonder about the script that fetches the script... surely that has a history of his browsing, unless it's a public service or he's running that through some proxy or something)

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

not listening to anything in your headphones because the album has ended and you're afraid to take your phone out in public.

boiler room footage feels so fucking awkward every time

it's because people dancing aren't hidden in the dancefloor darkness, and most people suck at dancing. what's up with this vid though, is he just taking the piss?

Best Boiler Rooms are the experimental sets though, no one really knows what to do
