Your suggestion doesn't do what you claim it does.  There is no way to create the system I've proposed at the same scale as the current capitalist software industry in parallel to try to catch up

I think there are like 5 or 6 different things being conflated in this thread where somehow the conclusion is simply "capitalism is bad". Smart and informed vs dumb and uninformed decisions.  There's no way to make such a partition of decisions under capitalism since the incentives do not align with smart informed choices

Yes they can.  It requires central planning to calculate the actual requirements of production.  How many engineers are working on things which will never have any positive impact on humanity?  Many.  It's done in the name of maintaining markets and finding new markets.  How many engineers are working on things that actively harm humanity?  Many.  The solution is exiting market dynamics through central planning

There are no communist economies in history at scale to study, only socialist attempts to reach communism

Central planning has never happened in the modern age of supercomputers.  The USSR did not have enough computing power to do like-kind economic calculations with precision at scale.  We do now.

I mostly accept your narrative, but you misjudge the echo chamber problem. Everyone and their mothers minds are already echo chambers. The more self reflection anyone does, the worse it gets. that this went on for months, and that they accessed so many networks, and that they were covering their tracks and creating backdoors... it's really bad. 

and it was some private contractor who finally discovered the intrusion. it's like the US defense agencies that should have caught this earlier or prevented it weren't operating at 100%.

i think mishandling campaign cash is by itself a law breaking act however it seems like everyone does it so it's a slap on the wrist or something. unless, it's used as money laundering or to pay off someone in a coverup or other illegal shit. but i think the RNC must know about this. it's a lot of money. someone had to know about $600+ million being moved around. and i don't know the fine print.. with PACs and Super Pacs you can kinda do anything w/the money which is what the "stop the steal" thing is about really. 

but, if they're just pocketing the campaign funds from the RNC that seems like it could be illegal. of course.. there's always fine print ya know.. so we'll see.
