Radiohead - OKNOTOK

I like those two tracks. And the first one on the next album

Yeah I bought this in either 97 or 98, my first Radiohead album.

Really want that box but have a feeling it'll be gone by the time payday rolls around.

Every time I try and get into Radiohead I get bashed over the head by people saying "AAAY OK COMPOOTER N KIDDDAAAY MAAAANG DOS DA BESSSST"

And then I try and listen to those two albums, and in Ok Computer I really only like Airbag. Still don't know what to think of Paranoid Android though.

As for Kid A, I like about two tracks. The first one and Idioteque. Other than that is electro fluffy muss. 

Huge caveat: In Rainbows is incrediballs.

To me In Rainbows was the beginning of the end of my love with Radiohead. I feel like that was the recording where Thom started getting too comfortable with his own skills and the quality control further depreciated. Also there were some baffling production choices i started feeling at this point. I was thrilled to see "Nude" on the tracklist but was really unhappy with the direction they took that song compared to how they played it live. There are some incredible songs but compared to the 3 previous LP's i was underwhelmed at best by it as a whole. The lyrics started to go from mildly interesting gibberish to mildly obnoxious gibberish too. To be fair Bodysnatchers is the only song i think is poor. Weird Fishes rules. 
The King of Limbs was trash to my ears, i liked the new one was better but found it entirely forgettable. After a few days i never revisited it. King of Limbs i kept coming back to thinking i missed something and then i would get really mad at how terrible they had become by the end.

the new old songs are pretty lame, very dated, bends and 90's britpop sound, there's none of the adventurousness of okc and its actual b-sides. can see why they didn't release them back then, don't quite see why they felt like releasing them now.

But overall, I'm ok with Radiohead. Daydreaming is pretty fucking good.
