Japanese Bush Warbler

I heard this bird a lot in Japan during April. Heading back home one afternoon from a day of recording, I stumbled upon one perched on a tree branch, singing its heart out, just a few metres shy of the pathway. The wind was picking up and I wasn't set up to record, but managed to capture a few minutes. 

House wren

found some babies growing up outside my bedroom window. little one on the bottom right had her mouth propped open waiting on moms until she realized i was some weirdo. not sure what species they are, but they’re super weird at that age.

They look like Jim Henson puppets.
