hopefully we don't end up there. it sucks to not be inspired by leadership. but who knows. if creepy joe gets the nomination and manages to win maybe he'll surround himself w/better people and turn the ship in a better direction.

it's the administration as a whole we vote for. it's not one guy pulling levers. it's people in a room arguing about what they think is right and hoping the president listens and makes a good decision.

it's a lot better than the current scenario of people actively trying to mitigate a trump disaster every time they go into the oval office w/a policy decision that needs to be made.

>In a 1985 letter newly obtained by HuffPost in which Sanders debated running for governor, he wrote: “Whether I run for governor or not is really not important. What would be a tragedy, however, is for people with a radical vision to fall into the pathetic camp of the intellectually bankrupt Democratic Party.”

^^^ is that supposed to be some shocking revelation? Bernie has always been an independent, he runs on the Dem ticket because it’s the pragmatic choice. It’s a large reason he doesn’t get a lot of support from the powers that be in the Democrat party.

ok. i'm intellectually lazy on the internet.  these discussions are a honeypot of sorts and being quick and dirty about it is all i'm up for sometimes.

i don't see it as being fallacious though.. to say one guy is a super asshole and the other guy is not a super asshole.

but we're still in the same place w/all this of course. a super big dumbasshole vs one of several possible people who are not nearly on the end of the superdumbbigasshole spectrum as the other guy who is factually a super dumb big asshole

we could split hairs but we'd both lose the time and in the end we'd both agree he hasn't blundered (yet) as big as the iraq war or something.

i think the further erosion of all the various agencies is also pretty bad. unfilled positions. things like the EPA acting like more of a brother to industrial commerce.. havoc in the state department.. all of his judges are wacko and not just talking about supreme court picks but kavanugh wtf.. and Devos and the dept of education.. shit.. he's wrecked the dept of agriculture and moved the home of it out of DC to fucking kansas and gave all the scientists ultimatums "relocate or quit". which means most of them will quit because they have families and kids and and all that.

they've basically figured out ways to cripple and disrupt anything that gets in the way of commerce and industry.

could probably say that the march towards _some_ of those things was going to happen to some degree under any republican but i think not the wholesale fuckery we're seeing.

anyway.. here's just one thing.

there's a lot of going around in circles that can be done but tracking all the changes the trump administration put in motion since he took office is a tak fr some serious journalist.. not my goofy rage posting self.

Ok, so conservatives rather have Trump run against Sanders? I don't know what to think anymore...

i think it's because the democrats and CNN have been vocally against bernie. and then there was this:

in their mind, anything that helps create a divide in the democratic party is a good thing. plus they can't possibly see bernie winning because he's a socialist.

at this rate, there's enough evidence that the country can't even get it together to agree on what they don't agree on. which is just perfect for trump

Democrats don't need any help from Republicans to divide the base, when you have agents of capitalism like Hillary working to stoke fear in Middle-America Democrats.

Yous are all fucked.

Something I really envy Bernie for is his ability to not eyeroll at things like this and ability to remain collected even when his "party" is against him. There's no way I'd be able to hold it in if I were in his position, after all the crap the conservative """democrats""" has given him and will likely give him well into the future. He's definitely playing politics by doing this but it's in all the right ways that he needs to. I'm sure the democrats would love for Bernie to become angry with them, and yet he doesn't and so they don't have an excuse to distance themselves from him or try to kick him out.

I really don't like the infighting, but to call it *his* party is pushing it a few steps too far. He's still an independent running on the dem ticket, as far as I can tell. It's understandable why the dems would have preferred something else, to put it mildly. But these whiney background noises - thanks hills! - are annoying as hell.

Bernie Sanders is actually a pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Imagine a waffle cone with two scoops of Phish food handling the nuclear codes as incense wafts through the air and a personal comfort indigenous child sits at its side, singing in a language spoken by less than 3,000 people. Mandated, licensed, and registered teddy bears, weed dispensaries on the moon, tax breaks for interracial same sex polyamorous marriages, and solar powered artificial meat zeppelins siphoning our defense funds. Monsanto will develop artificial human steak as a happy accident on the way to creating standardized androgynous sex clones and it will revolutionize custom erotic dining as a luxury pastime for the increasingly nefarious upper class.

And it would still be better than what’s happening now.

the democratic party is a joke, hopefully they become outdated and Bernie + AOC + Omar form a socialist party and start the revolution

Well one foot in and one foot out is still in. I know he ran for Vermont senator as an independent. He's also bit his tongue and played party politics with the democrats in the past.

This looks awful, btw. I'm happy for you Sanders numbers are improving. But especially that last question about enthusiasm looks awful. Could mean the enthusiasm for the Dem ticket on the whole is getting smaller. Even if Sanders wins the dem ticket, you might risk attracting not enough voters to win against Trump. There's just not enough love for the Dems and/or Sanders, it seems.

Also note the confidence interval. Percentages 5% higher or lower are still within the range of what the actual numbers could be for this particular poll.
