One characteristic is an inability to admit he's wrong, or apologize, for anything, ever.

and he has zero shame. he's trying to get other nations to call it the Wuhan Virus and blame china.

The fall in US influence was visible this week at virtual meetings of world leaders where the main US diplomatic effort was devoted to an abortive attempt to persuade the others to sign a statement referring to the “Wuhan virus”, as part of a campaign to blame China for the coronavirusepidemic. Demonising others as a diversion from one’s own shortcomings is a central feature of President Trump’s political tactics. Arkansas Republican senator Tom Cotton took up the same theme, saying that “China unleashed this plague on the world, and China has to be held accountable”.

CNN news today says there is reason to believe C19 particles can survive in the air for up to 10 minutes... from TALKING or BREATHING.

that's fake news, unless it is confirmed by the world's leading virologist - Dr. Trump.

i mean yeah, china fucked up real bad and we need to hold their shitty government and the local authorities accountable for endangering lives and killing thousands, maybe millions.

but i don't see anything good coming from calling it the wuhan / chinese virus. like, how is this a constructive solution? everyone knows where it's from. it seems so childish and obviously designed to boost trump's support rather than actually help people get better.

Not a chance. China is the new crowned superpower - both hard, soft and everything in-between.

Criticize all you like: Wuhan official secrecy and chasing down whistle blowers, their delay was minimal...MINIMAL, compared to the sheer arrogance and complacency of the U.S and U.K etc. To locate the blame with these officials is to ignore the inevitability of this pandemic and the total lack of institutional compassion and preparedness built into market run societies. We have been literally running towards global catastrophe for decades - and as we all know, climate change will make covid19 look like a broken nail.

We start talking about China as the center of responsibility and we are just buying the distractions of those responsible for such a devastatingly inadequate state of preparation and response. It's a racist trope. That is all.

SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An engineer deliberately ran a train off the tracks at high speed near the Port of Los Angeles in an attempt to crash into the USNS Mercy hospital ship, prosecutors say.

The Pacific Harbor Line train derailed Tuesday, running through the end of the track and crashing through barriers, finally coming to rest about 250 yards from the docked naval ship.

Federal prosecutors allege train engineer Eduardo Moreno, 44, of San Pedro intended to hit the ship, saying he thought it was "suspicious" and did not believe "the ship is what they say it's for.'"

Gee, wonder where he got that idea?

Moreno has been charged with one count of train wrecking, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.
