Scott Crockatt, vice president of the Business Council of Alberta, said 25 per cent tariffs would be “devastating” for the country, and David Adams, CEO of Global Automakers of Canada, told CTV News Channel Wednesday that auto production facilities could face closures if the tariff environment becomes too challenging.

there's a small amount of them.. peter theil, elon who do want to do the curtis yarvin end of democracy type takedown. i do think trump doesn't care really and would love a putin style country/oligarchy.  they want to roll back the last bits of the new deal wherever they exist, even though it's largely been destroyed already... new guilded age? sure.. those at the top will be fine regardless of whatever happens. they don't care about anyone else but will for sure bail them out w/taxpayer money.. again.  a lot of wealthy people suffered in 2007/8 and the powers that be didn't give a shit. .but the really wealthy people did just fine and many got bail outs or all their wealth came back w/gains in the following years. 

there's a lot delusional people in there who think they know what they're doing and they're playing a game.  of course, time will tell, but through bad advice or plain stupidity or malice they're going to cause chaos. trump just hoovered up billions w/his crypto scam.. he's fine.. that's all that matters to him.

if it in any way points in the direction that Iran or Russia was involved, and it a PR stunt to drum up war sentiment in the direction of those countries, I would absolutely be suspicious, but if it points in the direction that CIA offed Kennedy (even if it was a rogue cell within the CIA), then that would probably be promoted by trump in such a way as to go after the so-called deep state. a good point, but both can be true at once. there are many, many ways that the rich are taking from the poor at all times. if America were to decline in ways that made it more similar to the Russian economy, the oligarchs here (and new/fresh/other ones) would certainly find new ways to take advantage, almost certainly even more to their personal benefits.

but they'd be absolutely, staggeringly stupid to strive for that (which don't get me wrong, is possible). the current ways that they're benefitting off of American standing is far more profitable and long-lasting (potentially) than the Russian method. if you don't believe me, take a look at Forbes' list of the top richest in the world. no Russians the top 50 (tho this list surely isn't perfect, and i'm certain rich people other than Russian citizens are profiting off of Russia).

Canada are about to choose a new Prime Minister, right? By creating some tension or a bit of a flap or whatever Trump can maybe influence who gets chosen. All the candidates for Canada PM are now going be asked 'what did you think or Trump saying X,Y,Z' and then they kindof have to do what world leaders everywhere are doing right now which is say vague things about trying to work constructively with Trump.
