Clark's got to be the best "electronic music" artist out there right now. Still pushing the genre while keeping it listenable. I reckon this album will be the album of the year.

Never mind that i misspelled the title please.

and whilst we're alking about Clark maybe its time he was one of the main artists here...instead of vibert..

Rumours have it that Body Riddle blows Hello Everything out of the fucking water... I'm well stoked and don't think I haven't considered adding Clark to the lineup - he just doesn't have the musical history behind him like the other guys do.

thanks for fixing that title, that was bothering me!

after this album, think of the body of work

clarence park

ceramics is the bomb

empty the bones of you

throttle furniture

here is an artist that is most likely going to jump to the top for me, yet i know fuck all about him. there is a need for him in the lineup methinks. or will be eventually . . .

Looking foward to this one. When I first heard Chris Clark, I had just started getting into electronic music, and I did not like it at all. After about a year, he came up on an online radio station, and it sounded awsome. I could listen to "Bricks" (from Clarence Park) all day.

I've heard all of his albums and the new EP, and while I agree that some tracks wail hard, I've just never gotten into his sound much.

However, I think he is doing something original and is one of the few promising names in electronic music these days. Still looking forward to this!

i got 'clarence park' on a whim about a year ago (i liked the cover!) and i didn't really like it at first. obviously 'lord of the dance' is a nice fun track and there were a few little other bits i liked but i wasn't too impressed.

but now i really like that whole little album. it's just non-stop fun with some really short nice atmospheric bits. it's such a weird chaotic sound to that record too. stuff like 'the dogs' and 'bricks' are so thich with sound. i find that to be the most original thing on the record - it sounds like he's got pretty basic gear but he's completely rinsing it with loads of weird techniques. some of the distorted bass sounds on this are so thick man!

not sure what to say about his other stuff... i've only got that new 3" which i really quite like (apart from the first song) but it's a completely different feel to it.

just listen to 'bricks' or 'diesel raven' again!

interesting that you dont like the first track on the new 3" but like the rest

i think that's one of the strongest clark tracks to date!

to each his own

clarence park is the toughest to get into imo, while empty the bones just straight up wails all over the place

so how many albums is a good body of work? if he released albums as often as vsnares? 3 albums 3 eps maybe?

I don't know, I can't fucking stand this track. It inspires me contempt. :fear:

As for Clarence Park in general, there are several nice ideas but I find it rather weak and clunky.

Sorry for the harsh comments but thats how I see it! icon6.gif

yeah looking forward to it

empty the bones of you is great, as well as throttle furniture... i really like his crunchy, thick beats with lots of pressure.. and the strange, unusual sound overall.. the great melodies (WOLF & SLOW SPINES!!).. pretty much anything..

i saw him live a few times too.. and he tore it up with his MPC.. great stuff..

Well, put that way, BoC really shouldn't be up there then - they've only had 3 LPs!

it's more about time - Clark hasn't been around all that long in his music career... but then again that might not preclude him from making the cut - how good Body Riddle really is and how big Clark blows up on the electronic music scene might have more of a factor.

That's a pretty tall rumor. Who do you think has heard both of them outside warp?

[waiting for links to both leaks :P]
