fun thing about "Kiosk" is that , it's close to "Kiosque",  a french word wich means :

a bookstall / a bookstand / a news stand / a booth (or also a conning tower)   ...  wich fits quite well for the purpose somehow.

In Dutch, it's actually spelled 'kiosk'. It originates from the Persian word kushk.

Edit: many kiosks were used to accommodate orchestras in the olden days, so there's the musical link

I like ICBYD. Regardless of the aphex-centricity, it strikes a chord in that this community always felt like a safe space I could go to and share with other like-minded heads. It fits perfectly, imo. 
I also completely agree with @Satans Little Helper on the point that it is likely the best course forward for “attracting fresh blood”.
