Aphex Twin dreams with Aphex Twin

so i had two dreams with aphex in them last night

first one

a friend went to europe to meet him and jam with him.they did an improv noise wank fest together on synths,, then i came over and found out that rdj's "secret weapon" was a korg. some kinda analog synth that look really old, it was brown...so yeah, then after i found out i walked into the bathroom which was the most disgusting grimey place and the same synth was sitting on the dirty floor and there was writing on the walls, my guess from the twin, saying something like: "this is the secret weapon!". it was like his secret was found out so he did something really childish with the writing on the wall, at least that's how i understood it

second

there was a contest to pick a "studio" setup for the aphex twin. He had to use the winner's setup to compose a piece of music (actually a pretty cool idea)

the winner's setup for him was a black and green electribe. i saw him live and he actually composed a pretty damn cool song with it using all the buttons you know, milking it and rinsing it. the next thing i know i'm playing with the same electribe, seems that this magazine gave away the electribe after the contest was over with rdj's patterns programmed into it.... i was thinking to myself, "aren't they going to lose money on this?", then i woke up.

really crazy that i had two dreams in one night. nothing will top the time that i dreamt i was hanging out with richard and tom jenkinson though. that was one of the most surreal experiences i've had. kinda uncomfortable , i don't know why. just wierdness going on. basically just following them around (town i guess)

anyways, sorry, this is all pretty fanboy, but perhaps not as bad as the boc forum

I had a really long, funky dream last night.

There was a redheaded mime trying to escape from some police/security dudes involved, which might have been Aphex Twin, but he reminded me more of Razor or Blade (no idea which is which) from the movie Hackers. He didn't talk, and I thought of him as a mime for some reason.

I dreamt I didnt have any nails or eyebrows.

I once dreamt that i met him on a train ride and he explained that the female voices on SAW 2 were pitched sounds of himself, just like in windowlicker

I've had a few dreams about him (god I'm such a girl ), we're usually mates enough that he plays rekkids at my parties but thats about it.

have to admit i had a dream once where aphex was in my sister's room making tracks with a bunch of equipment layed out all over the floor. this was like 6 years ago.

my dreams almost never involve things actually in reality. i'm not sure if this is good or bad.

A few weeks ago I had a dream that I was at a party talking to venetian snares through a piece of fried fish. I talked with him for a little bit and told him I'd just bought rossz (I hadn't in real life), then he was like "oh, what's your favorite track from it? Is it this one?" then he started to play something rossz-like which I couldn't identify, but before I had the chance to respond he said "is it this one?" again and changed the track. He did this about three times, then he said "well actually I rang to speak to someone else", so I handed the fish-phone over to somebody and said "it's venetian snares", but they didn't understand that they were meant to use the fish to communicate, so they put it on a table, then it got knocked onto the floor and ground into the carpet. "These idiots don't know how to use the phone", I thought to myself. I picked it up again and the fish began to crumble in my fingers. Putting it to my ear all I heard was "hello? hello? what's going on?" I tried to yell through the fish to tell him I was still there, but it was futile; he could no longer hear my voice.

ANALYSIS:

The part where he asks you what your favorite track is means that Venetian Snares songs move so damn fucking fast, you don't have any time to make up your mind on them. So you can never have a favorite track. This will be a big challenge in your life

The fish phone: you find communication to be slippery, difficult, and smelly. Or, you have some novelty phone shit going on.

I had a dream last night that I was hanging out with this sexy chic and I think we may have started getting busy. There was a song playing that was unmistakably Aphex Twin. I remember thinking "I've never had sex to this particular Aphex track before. Actually, I've never heard this track before!" It sounded like a cross between ICBYD and The Tuss.

I wish I remembered exactly how it went when I woke up. I would have tried to record a weak replication of it.

The dream goes on.

For some reason, I was in London (in a dream-like way), walking around. I think I had to use the bathroom so I walked up to this office/apartment building. There was some sick techno playing from inside the foier. I opened the front door and it was RDJ's room. I guess he owned the whole building. He was on the phone in a lazy boy. I felt like an intruder so I just apologized and left.

I had a dream last night that a dog driving a truck tried to run me over

I think it was an Alsatian.

I had a dream where I went to go see a concert where I wasn't sure who was playing. Boards of Canada showed up and it was the most amazing concert ever. I have this really vivid memory of them playing "Come out...and live in a religious community..." to 10000000 people and it echoing all over the stadium and it was just amazing. But apparently it was all a trick and they gassed everyone as they were playing. I woke up. I remember this so vividly like it actually happened.

Interesting, I had a dream last week with him in it too, although it was nothing more than a bunch of us sitting around smoking a blunt.

I had a dream the other night i was walking in the woods on a rainy day and find a gated hole, tunes out to be afx secret underground studio. so he lets me in. tries to play a synth and it doesnt work, so i suggested he check the cutoff knob, to which he replied that it was really a industry joke.

I'd say it's because of most people being unable to find the appeal of / to listen to good but unusual music (symbolized by a rotten fish) properly

I managed to re-create music I heard in a dream once (cause it was really simple and shit)

The dream consisted entirely of a close-up view of someone repeatedly "headbutting" a vagina, like the karate dudes who break piles of bricks, resulting in getting his head absorbed by it and then slipping back out again, in front of #FFFF00 yellow background. It was accompanied by a loop of this Vom_Traum.mp3

Bumping because I had a dream where Aphex's new album was out. It was 32 minutes long, had an angular green and black cover, a four-word title in Cornish, and everyone was raving on about how good it was but I couldn't find any reviews or song descriptions.
