@triachus, that "Live At The St. Pierre Cathedral, Geneva" release is great. It's really all about the BJ Nilsen, Fennesz, and Philip Jeck pieces though. The Fennesz performance is one of the best things he's ever done.

fennesz lives absolutely slays. when i saw him two years back his set was incredible, far better than any of his albums (which i love).

Yeah I saw him back in 09 I think. For sure in my top 5 favorite live performances. I was gutted that he only played for 40 min or so.

Yeah, Touch. should do more stuff with Spire. The organ just works so well. These releases are great too:

Too bad most Fennesz fans only know about a few albums. That guy does so much stuff on the side, it's hard to keep up.

I haven't listened to the Touch 25 comp yet, but it does sound interesting at first glances.

I remember looking at those two. Might have to pick them up. Forced Exposure still has copies.

And yeah, Fennesz has done a lot. Even the Field Recordings 1995:2002 comp on Touch gets overlooked. This Touch Radio performance of his is the goods:

I actually don't know many places to order cds from, apart from amazon, boomkat, bleep and some label shops. Forced Exposure looks interesting. Does anyone know any more sites like that, for more "underground" stuff? Maybe something more european based?

Experimedia, Mimaroglu, and FE are my go-to's. I've found some Ghost Box releases that were hard to find at Reckless Records, and have ordered from Aquarius and Thrill Jockey before. Experimedia usually has a sale every few months or so, i.e. spring sale going on right now.

^^ reckless is my local go-to record store. a few of the people who work there have a band called implodes and their lead guitarist ken camden also has a solo record. check em out if you don't know them, i bet you'll enjoy their tunes.

Hah, that's cool. Definitely familiar with both. I like the Ken Camden record. I believe Jon Porras of Barn Owl works, or worked at, Aquarius in SF.

chris connelly also works at reckless but i'm not as familiar with the industrial scene to know much about his legacy. he is, along with the implodes people, very friendly and chill.

Nice. Connelly is kind of legendary to me doing guitar for Ministry and stuff when i was first getting on the road to the music I listen to now. He was just involved w/ some of my personal game changers.
