To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

Rainer Veil - Struck EP

Red Fang - Whales and Leeches

Stonebride - Inner Seasons

Blu & Exile - Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them

Talkdemonic - Ruins

I’d like to like Arthur Russell. Is that comp a good place to start?

Anyway, speaking of Soul Jazz:

Box Of Dub 1

Box Of Dub 2

Depends what you're into really. The three albums I have are quite different. Vids below are a track from each.

I personally favour World of Echo (first vid)

new order - brotherhood

talk talk - it's my life

talk talk - life's what you make it 12"

godspeed you! black emperor - f#a#(infinity)

wolves in the throne room - celestial lineage

I listened to Wolves in the Throne Room for the first time yesterday - My other half likes to throw stuff on my ipod for me to stumble across at a later date.

Different to my usual tastes, but enjoyable enough. Certainly complimented my journey home avec the commuting masses; something about the way we were all stamping up the station stairs almost in unison, heads down, in the dark and rain, with that coming through my headphones entertained me.

Splurge of instant gratification retail therapy on combined payday and worst hangover this year leads to me being poor for the rest of the month:

arthur russell - another thought (reissue)

visonia/dopplereffekt - die reisen

aphex twin - saw ii (1972) probably should have looked this one up before buying. not the complete version and my copy has some adhesive shit on side c which makes most of "weathered stone" unplayable.

Just now bought the MP3 albums London Zoo and On Patrol by The Bug and Sun Araw respectively. I feel like every year I gotta explore new artists. I'll always love Ae first and foremost but on the same token I need variety.

Grace Jones - Nightclubbing: Bought it for cheap purely because I knew Libertango from Frantic, didn't even realize Pull Up To The Bumper was on it until I played it at home. Turns out I really like this whole album for some reason and wouldn't mind a couple more of hers like it.

Babe Ruth - First Base: Got it for The Mexican, pleasantly surprised at the rest of it. It's not as proggy as I'd expected and a really solid album.

Also completed my set of the Tangerine Dream "Definitive Edition" CDs, haven't even listened to every one of those yet but I couldn't resist.

Re: Odd Future. Some of these aren't new but they're new to me (and I've got to catch up on lots of the various offshoot projects) but it's all blowing my fucking mind. I'm an idiot.. I did download 'The Fucking Tape Vol. 1' but what actually happened was when I unzipped the folder of the 19 tracks, I was looking at them and then *zip!* most of them disappeared off the screen and I was only left with a few. Definitely some suss code fiddlers. Anyway, I listened to the remaining songs a lot but then I took my sweet time following up on the newer stuff, so I'm an idiot if I ever said anything dismissive as I hadn't been digging in..

There's a lot of artificial price inflation on Amazon. I've watched CDs go from 30 dollars to 300 in a day and then back down around 30 a few days later.

Fluxion -Vibrant Forms

Porter Ricks - Biokinetics

Deepchord - The Coldest Season

how is this?

Amazing. I've been playing it a lot.

I will however warn you to read the wiki about it if you aren't aware: it is basically a short looping piano arrangement repeated over and over.
