To be fair, all of the silliness surrounding it is caused by we the fans. All he did was release stuff under different names (which he has done throughout his career) and just didn't bother to officially announce that any of it was him.

Get a turntable, by the 12", and download mp3s! Format is a non-issue. The music is worth the money if you hear 98% of all other music produced today.

Over-hyped. The music isn't phenomenal. It's an ok release and enough to satisfy us until the next proper Aphex release on Warp.

again, who determines which RDJ release is "proper" It doesn't even mean anything. In the past he released a lot of music through Aphex Twin and WARP and now he's released 40 tracks through AFX and Rephlex and another 10 as The Tuss through Rephlex.

these almost seem like one-off outtakes. They show a lot of his skill and maturity in his aphex style but it doesn't seem like a definitive release. More like, "check out these awesome party tracks I did once, its not quite what I'd release as aphex, but its awesome". I still think a real "Aphex Twin" LP will come out sometime soon.
