who else thinks that the analords are a compilation of "leftovers" that he had lying around, to be released one day?

Anyone buy the theory of RDJs lost iPod?

how could you possibly think they are a compilation of leftovers? the music is among his top acid tracks, but if you dont agree then at least you should have the sense to notice the similarity in style between them, which completely discounts the 'leftover' theory. either you havent taken the time to listen hard enough or your're just not capable.

I found an iPod on a bus once.

All the folders were just random assortments of letters,each containing about 5 tracks.

No track titles,except one. Which was called Hexokinase.

I don't know who owned it,but it's a bit creepy.

(Yes,the tracks did sound a bit Aphexy. But darker.)

I never said anything against the quality of the tracks.

I think it's the best stuff he's put out in over a decade.

I said "leftovers" (in quotes) because AFX has said numerous times he only releases a small percentage of his tracks.

he has also said he doesn't release his best stuff.

I was wondering who else thought these might be those "unreleased" tracks.

I think it is very possible.

Someone's theory was that he lost his iPod on the tube or on a plane or bus or something and it contained a bunch of unreleased tracks. the speculation was that AFX put out the analords to beat the pirates to the punch.

Personally, I think the style of the songwriting sounds like it could be older stuff that he has saved to be released.

I LOVE ALL OF THE SONGS! I also proudly own all of the analords on vinyl.

people should just pay less attention to the fads and myths that appear around his releases and aliasses and just go for the music itself, and that's basicly what Rich is showing us. Trust me, his GAK release wasn't appreciated this much untill they confirmed it was aphex, and if they didn't confirm it ever, alot of people would forget about it. Only because alot of people care too much about who makes this kind of music.
