Analord Hum

Anyone have any idea what the equipment humming sounds throughout Analord are? They can be heard in the beginning of Fenix Funk 5 quite clearly for instance. I suspect they are natural hums from his analog synths, but I don't know much about them. Do they hum?

I should know better than to ask WATMM for questions like this, but here I am...

I just realized this is posted in General Discussion...someone please fix...

also, as you get a longer signal chain going through multiple cables and bits of hardware, you get more noise entering through the cable and adversely affecting the signal-to-noise ratio, which you obviously avoid if it's all done within a PC and digital waveforms are being losslessly passed from one piece of software to another.

Now you mention it, a lot of the Tuss is very Reason...

Being a user of reason, I'd say for the most part, if you're creative, you can make just about anything with Reason.

True, There's almost always a way to get what you want out of Reason. It's so easy to use.

Well yeah. Within reason. But for the most part, if you hear a DX7 you can spot it a mile off. The same goes for tracks produced with Reason.

nah, i can't agree with that. Considering that Reason is capable of literally anything, every electronic song ever written could/would sound like it's made in Reason. I used to figure out how various songs would be made made in Reason and I found out that songs sound more "Reason made" if you're already thinking it was made in Reason.

There's no reason why Aphex didn't use Reason.

oh i'm ot saying THAT. Didn't Luke Vibert say in an interview that RDJ introduced him to Reason?

yeah, true. But like you say, if you think something is made using Reason then it probably is made using Reason. Chances are he used Reason.

That would be pretty lame. 99% of technoi wannabes use those progs. It makes musixc all sound the same. You can Rebirth in there a mile off. And adding noise to make it sound analoguey - shit.
