That would be pretty lame. 99% of technoi wannabes use those progs. It makes musixc all sound the same. You can Rebirth in there a mile off. And adding noise to make it sound analoguey - shit.

Rebirth you can spot easy. Reason though, if used by a creative person, can sound quite convincing to sound whatever you intend that to be, whether that be a rack of analog gear of a 3 piece rock band. It's truely indispencible software, epecially in a portable situation. Combined with a midi keyboard and possibly mixer, you are fucking good to go!

prefer a combination of cigarette-box sized devices linked together with 3.5mm jacks recorded in mono onto audio cassettes.

Not rreally, I have several home-made devices that simply require a 9 volt battery.

While taking a break from playing with my Garageband, I sat down to have a bowl of Frooty Loops; but was shocked to find some Cubase in it! Hmmmm, I thought, "I think I'm gonna have to solve this problem with Reason and Logic!"

I think Cubase is a bit more powerful than Reason. In other words...Reason kind of fucking blows. I never really understood the worshiping done around here.

For fuck's sake, Fruity Loops is more powerful than Reason.

Both are shit. I prefer to use something bespoke or an old Amiga tracker prog.
