okay, so i just woke up....fucking mission to get home didn't go to sleep (minus two hours in the car) until after ten o clock in the morning.

it was fucking worth it, was a well good set they played.

ugh! im gonna drink some cider and watch some star wars. good night!

probably one of the best nights i've been to since Aphex in December, seriously fucking banging stuff with a wicked vibe amongst the crowd. A few too many 'electronic music' hipsters looking uncomfortable and not dancing for my liking....their loss though :p

SND were doing some pretty awesome stuff, but Autechre's set was a blinder, shame we got booted out at 3 though.

p.s. sorry for not youtubing any of it, i'm both a lazy and forgetful bastard

hey! i saw you, or at least, i saw the hair and the rephlex logo bouncing around somewhere in front of me.

i thought snd were pretty good at the (especially at the beginning) but i was stone sober and was saving what little energy i had (drove 200-250 miles to get there) for autechre. i couldn't be bothered with the continuous kick drum. but some of it was wickid.

rob hall slipped in piezo at the very beginning which was awesome to hear on that wickid soundsystem. good shit.

did you see that dude near the bar who was being a sex pest to that fat chick? it was fucking hilarious.

that was a great night.

Ack MOAR, tell us moar! I like details

i noticed the third track of quristice with the up and down melody.

i think its track 3, i only heard quaristice for the first time yesterday, in the car (pooey quality car speakers and it was mp3), on the way to the gig. sounds wickid.

i can't wait for one of my copies to arrive.

thats all i can say really.

it sounded similar to previous sets (from 2007) but, tweaked more and with newer material.

might have clocked you mate, not too sure though. where did you journey from?

like a few others i spoke to, i refuse to listen to the new one until i've seen it live, so i'll be getting myself a copy sharpish

i came from exeter, my mate who was driving rented this car from plymouth (where he lives) and had to get the car back there by 9 this morning, after dropping off 2 others in bristol.

it was a nightmare. getting out of bristol at 5:30 in the morning after seeing autechre was NOT fun.

i refused to listen to it until i had a proper copy (not mp3 or flac)

but i ended up listening to it on the way up (not properly though)

I wanna hear more about the SND set! It's been six years (!) since Tenderlove so I have no idea what they're rocking now. I know Mark Fell said there would be some new 12"s, so I'm guessing it's all new stuff.

yes same here, i have an audience recording from their 2005 tour with autechre and its amazing stuff, a lot of it i have not heard before

Great night. Did anybody see that really tall guy going mad when Autechre played?

Also it sounded way better at the back by the bar.

i was back at the bar for the second half of it, it was awesome.

there was a dude going mad just by the bar, it was hilarious, he was going crazy with this fat chick. quite disturbing at points - he was kneeling on the floor, arms in the air, leaning back, and she had her heel on his groin, he was loving it - spin heads

It was a top night indeed.

SND were pretty cool, super compressed choppy rythms with loads of rests giving it space. not much melody but very very minimal in a clasical style. As in use of slowly shifting rythms and counterpoints great.

Autechre were the best ive ever seen them or at least its the best set they have played.

Started with proper electro not just off kilter warming stuff like untilted tour, very very booty then into some real techno, 4/4 rythms and everything, it then just built into a bass ridden monster. They played I/O but rearranged massively, the voices on it were superb. it was all brand new material and totally rocked, massive amounts of detail in everything. loads of wicked melodies and pads in back ground and total rythmic genius. They have this nack of making you thing the BPM is increasing at points when it isnt just increases intensity. Towards they end they dropped it to half rythm for a really phat hip hop style bit then sped back up into again rythmic pwnage.

i wasnt sure what to expect but it was amazing, made me dance like a maniac and the crowd loved it. anyone going to see this tour is in for an absolute treat.

Autechre were just completely amazing. Not what i was expecting at all.....it was all just something else.

SND sounded good but became a little bored after a while, Rob Hall was on good form tho, playing threee times in the night!!!

A slightly crappy venue and it's always difficult to find the best place to stand, yet Autechre quite frankly blew the night away with some of the best music I've heard in my whole life....

I was a little disappointed with Quaristice revisiting some parts of the Untilted 2005 tour but after Friday night my faith in the boys being able to go so much further with ideas and sound has grown stronger!!!

Lets face it, it was banging dance music, it was hard and it was incredible. Best tour yet.

Kenny kenny kenny ken ken, how wrong you are!

I thought SND's was definitely the more abstract set on the night, but all in all everything played was dancefloor orientated (though not for your bog standard house fan obviously)

I've seen 'techre twice now, and both times have been absolutely amazing.

This is also coming from someone who finds some difficulty in appreciating a large amount of their recorded stuff.

Get yourself to a gig and you'll know what i mean.

thought SND were excellent, never heard them before but i'll be looking into them more closely now, any recommendations?

AE were wicked aswell, first time seeing them. Got right on the rail (rale?) at the front and had my ears properly blasted

also got a handshake off sean at the end of the set, and met larry david, so a winning night all round really...

my mate had to leave at 12 because he was feeling too ill to stay, this was after travelling for about 4 hours to get there, i refused to go with him.

Hey folks, first time poster Cheers from Canada *clink*

SND is fucking amazing, if no one has checked them out yet, other than seeing them live, I would recommend either their albums 'stdio' or 'tender love' for starters. Its sorta like really minimal house that slips and slides and shifts as their songs progress. Oh and it lots of repetition. Not sure what they are like live. I also really enjoy their side project 'BLIR' but its really really really minimal and may be a tough listen at first...especially if you hate repetition. Lots of minimal artists list them as an influence. They have a really cool way of shifting their beats around.

Oh and I got my ticket her in Toronto for April 12 with Mantronix and Rob Hall. I listened to Mantronix stuff on the net and Im not impressed. As for Rob Hall Im not really sure what he spins. Also, as of right this moment Im going alone to the show!! I've been ditched by a couple of people already and I have a feeling I'll be going solo. Honestly Im looking forward to it, I'll be able to absorb it more and I'll be able to concentrate...well, as best as I can after several double rye's and a joint before the show...oh the dancing...the dancing.....

Guest kerouac78

In my last post I meant SND is listed as an influence for a lot minimal artists not BLIR.

Any recommondations for Mantronix? Like I said I wasnt impressed by the stuff I heard, it was terrible...it sounded a little 'dated' to me. Perhaps I was just listening to a shite album...

Cheers,
