funny thing is that the first disc (ah3eo) is actually 119 min 59 sec, as announced. the second one (ha3oe) is 48 min 15 sec. does anyone else of you fine people have the same timing? i'll have to investigate with die stadt.

apart from that, at first listen, its similar to the first two collabs in the way that it takes "ambient" music several steps further than usual. with patience, it opens spaces in your mind, and around you. you're wrapped in one note, rolled around in it, thrown back and forth, and back again. sonic goodness at its finest. ok, i'm not a journalist or record reviewer, just enjoying the sheer beauty of it, and will shut up now.

awesome

Someone tell me if its worth getting.

Im not spending 30 quid on shit wank.

This is the best thing you can get for 30 quid this year, mister. Musically speaking. It takes only five years to develop this piece of work.

If Simply Superior say it's out now and they're the ones dispatching the thing, it's out now

(I haven't got mine though, or a confirmation email or nuffink)

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

I'd like to know the process of developing something like this actually. I haven't heard it but if it's like the other two, I'm highly surprised that it took five years to make. Especially since I created a piece inspired by the first release, entirely from scratch and recorded in real time, in about 30mins. I mean no disrespect, just wondering how two similar sounding tracks can take drastically different amounts of time to produce..

I didn't say anywhere about how much it took to make it, but about develop whole product, and this is not easy. Can I listen your piece?

Has anyone recieved an email by buying this through Jochen from DIE STADT directly ? I pre-orded it back in May but never had any kind of response/confirmation. I'm worried my €30 has vanished into the ether (well Jochen's Paypal account anyway)

Ah yes, I must admit the packaging is quite superb (at least in the first two, I haven't seen the new one but I'm sure it's excellent too). I just thought that when you said "takes five years", you were following up "Musically speaking".

My piece is online somewhere, in some form. I'll try to find it later and link to it..

It is the same style packaging as the first 2 releases, paper outer ribbon, paper card flap, nice collection of those tracing paper images.

Interesting, the DVDs are stamped with © 2008....

Mine came in today. I've listened to it for 15 minutes (it was mostly noise, maybe even crowd noise) and then my gf came in and asked 'what is this shit sound you call music?'. So I'll listen to it fully tomorrow.

This will be my issue. I need to wait for my gf to go out so I can crank up the (5.1) stereo and get "in the zone" for the evening...

Apparently mine was dispatched Monday, fingers crossed it hasn't got lost in the mail. Agreed with waiting for everyone to leave before putting on the DVD - I think I'd feel less self conscious/embarrassed being caught watching a porno by my house-mates than I would being caught with this on ....
