Most unsettling AE song?

For me [on Confield anyways] I've always found Parhelic Triangle the most disturbing as it sounds like some dark ancient ritual with all those gamelan thingies shooting around.

I remember I first got into Confield because Parhelic Triangle and Bine reminded me of these strange dreams I was having, they give off something that's dark and evil, but strangely warm, like they epitomize some type of beguiling wisdom. Really that whole album's like that, ugly, dark, confounding on the outside, with a type of enlightenment lying underneath.....ahhhh if any of that makes any sense.

I was also gonna say Parhelic Triange...I think its those detuned bells. But also maybe Augmatic Disport, it sounds like the track has infected Parkinsons or something.

zeiss contarex is one of my fav ae tracks. makes me think of a huge factory production line slowly turning on over the course of the track, with the lights crackling on at the mid point.

anyway...unsettling track... hmmm probably uviol.

its gotta be Theft (draft 7.30) Its a scary track - about 6min in it gets freaky like something evil is coming to play.

parhelic triangle is a close second (the first track I got into from confield & still holds my attention)

I think Iera is quite a chilling track. It reminds me of the black lodge in twin peaks for some reason.

hearing that track on mushrooms is still a very weird experience for me... it's like your falling through a 'loop of holes'... a neverending infinite loop of falling through alien-ish objects...

Surriperre is a good one for this, also Under BOAC, as it breaks down in the second half. PArhelic triangle cdame to mind, but it isnm't that unsettling, and it's like my favorite ae track ever.

I agree with that guy, Lentic Catachresis is a fucking assault of confusion. As if the song is trying to say something but can't figure out what. Sheer madness.

I go with most people. I have to say Parhelic Triangle is the most unsettling for me, but at the same time, its my favorite track by AE. Those bells just give me a certain feeling, and I've come to be addicted to it. I get the same feeling from things like "Tree" and "Domino" in SAWII.

Pretty much all of confield and the majority of Draft are extremely unsettling. But Lentic Catachresis and Parhelic Triangle does deserve special mention.

The first five seconds of Iera are unsettling.

As far as pre-21st century Ae goes, Zeiss Contarex is a bit unsettling. Hub is quite sickening. And the part where the really deep bass comes in during latent quarter is unsettling.
