Strangest AE beats/signatures that still work

Recommended Posts

augmatic disport is an example of a track that is firmly rooted in 4/4 but deviates and screws with it in every way possible.

Iera is initially in 4/4 but later on in the track some very screwy polyrhythm or tempo change goes on. I've never tried to understand it.

Although I read in some interview that iera was made by placing notes on a midi sequencer freehanded/approximate

in a 'wonky' fashion

It seems like Xylin Room also slows down every few bars...until it changes and then it gives the impression of constant fluctuation.

yeah, the way that programmed that rhythm is really interesting...even though i know it's coming at the end of each loop, it still is offset to the point that it keeps me interested. and the last 1/3, that rhythm is nice, reminds me of the middle 'rise' part of sublimit almost.

oh is that what it is?

Key Nell 2 - that massive mechanical beat that comes in halfway is a 7 beat pattern that keeps wrapping around while the song stays in 4/4. :emotawesomepm9:

Warning. Lost and Djarum contain repetitive beats.

We advise you not to play these tracks if the Criminal Justice Bill becomes law. Flutter has been programmed in such a way that no bars contain identical beats and can therefore be played at both forty five and thirty three revolutions under the proposed new law. However we advise DJs to have a lawyer and musicologist present at all times to confirm the non repetitive nature of the music in the event of police harrassment.
