oh god. all you fanboys who constantly pop up when someone slags your hero around here, makes it so fun. i bet you all get your knickers in a bunch on the flashblub messageboard and head out here to put us straight. how dare we not like the same music as you do!

for me flahbulbs stuff is derivative and boring. sure, he has the production skills, but still the music sounds hollow to me. all that "emotional" stuff you go on about in his music, just seems contrived and frankly quite pretentious. an easy sell to the crowd who's first contact to "electronic music" is teh flahsblub, no doubt.

so he makes commercial ditties for several grands, good on him, completely forgettable music that plays in the background of some facial cream ad. awesome. and he even got awards, just wow, might mean something to someone who thinks shiny trinkets on some bookshelf gives the music some more merit and puts it above criticism.

i don't even know why i care to write this. maybe cuz it's only teh flashblub fanboys who come here and whine when we slag him off. don't see other fans storm in here when we slag someone else off. as i said earlier, why not just let us shit on your hero as much as we want here. it doesn't take away you're enjoyment of his music does it? if it does, then it's not really my problem, is it.

1. I don't care for AFX, Squarepusher, or Autechre all that much. I see no reason to take pride into not caring for it. More importantly, on The Flashbulb forum nobody is wishing for them to DIE for releasing a new album.

2. Do you honestly think that ad and film agencies search for completely forgettable and rubbish music to license or have composed? Or do you think that it is a multibillion dollar industry that basically defines what will be cool and what will not?

3. The internet is for piracy, porn, and arguing to people without faces or real names. That would be the root of the problem.

It's seems that a lot of the people who are into the flashbulb are ONLY into the flashbulb, which i find a bit odd considering the derivative nature of his choons.

and I've showed him to my friends who mostly listen to metal and they like his tracks too.

I've made the same discovery with some metal guy, and it made me think about why The Flashbulb seems to be apreciated by people who mostly apreciate music I find shallow and laughable :whistling: (I still don't hate The Flashbulb but you've reminded me of that instance)

Benn Jordan's music changes very often and is never the same experience from album to album. This, of course, means that many of his albums deviate away from electronic music and similar genres quite often.

stole that whole bit from me tho, dint he?

lawl

oh god the flashbulb is lol

have you ever seen a retard listen to jean-michael jarre with a frown on his face?

lol.

I get it now. Finally.

You're sucking Aphex penis and dissing Jean Michel-Jarre at the same time. Who would take your opinion seriously?

Do you actually listen to music or just condescend your peers with it?

go find my posts where i suck aphex's cock, re-re.

i don't listen to aphex twin or electronic music and haven't listened to it in years as a matter of fact. im not dissing jean-michael jarre either, that's just a retarded (unsurprisingly) assumption you've made somewhere between resuscitating yourself with an asthma inhaler and sucking down a quart of easy-mac. what i am doing is demonstrating how the flashbulb is just a rip-off artist. jean michael jarre is a master musician.

have you ever seen the movie F is for Fake by Orson Welles? go and educate yourself.

i use my ears to find good music, not read blogs about net neutrality and some ex-heroin addicts view on the future of music. oh, maybe i SHOULD listen to him because he got an award at cannes. wow. impressive. I HAVE TO LIKE THIS.

A special treat:

On our Journey back, well after dark and well off the expressway, we started searching for a sideroad to get even further from the highway. Astral photography was the name of this game. This led me to bring up Pale Blue Dot.

It turns out that when I mentioned it to him earlier, he didn’t have a PHYSICAL copy of Pale Blue Dot. However, he had a digital copy of it. We sat in utter silence as we listened to the entire album, soaking it in, admiring the solitary and desolation of our location. I couldn’t help but look up through the sunroof of the rental car as we sped down this state-maintained highway staring at the stars as the music flowed through my brain. It sucked me in. About 30 miles from the interstate, my mental wandering was interrupted as Been started looking feverishly for a sideroad. We found a county road. Gravel, rocks and dirt. We drove for miles down this narrow road, bumping along throwing rocks and dirt into the air behind us. I have no idea how we didn’t get a flat. We happened across an animal suddenly. Benn: “What is that?!?” “What IS that?!?” “It’s a fucking wild boar!!” We continued on for a few miles and coasted to a stop at the top of a small hill. Kill the headlights, kill the Tomtom screen, kill the engine. Total silence. Complete blackness. We step out, and the sky is filled with stars. The Milky Way is clearly visible, the bright belt of stars completing the night sky.

(Bob Wilson) Sorry... you created that reality tunnel, you can find your way out... You built the Trap... you know the design better than anyone...sagatsfz3stage.jpg

hahahahahahaha

hold on, friend, let me kill the Tom Tom in my Prius. i want to be able to see the stars and listen to my Jean-Michael Jarre forgery.

no, guys, really, he's on to something here. don't be so fast to jump to conclusions.

So if The Flashbulb is ripping off Jean Michel-Jarre (please learn to spell the master musician's name) for making an ambient album using synthesizers, then how could you possibly consider Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Boards Of Canada, Autechre, Luke Vibert, µ-Ziq, Plaid, or Cylob original artists?

Furthermore. Have you even heard this Pale Blue Dot album?

I'm assuming you haven't judging by your aimless criticism and comparisons.

Edited by harky

does benn jordan pay you per cocksuckpost you make on watmm?

because seriously, i dont know why you even bother doing this Harky

the flashbulb is all you talk about here ... always, nothing else

constantly defending every negative bit ever said about him

and you dont even like this forum

what the hell man?

do you think we will change our opinion because of what you say? do you think you are all up in our face?

the only thing that happens is more flashbulb bashing, because of all the flashbulb fanatics butting into every thread about benn

it really seems to make you angry what we say...

Seriously, what does it matter to you what we say about the flashbulb? Do you feel insecure about your taste, so that you come over here defending Flashbulb mostly to convince yourself that you really really like it?

I seriously want an answer to that ... WHAT does it matter, WHAT is that thing that makes you come over here and defend the flashbulb over and over and over and over again, knowing it doesn't really do anything and you really shouldn't bother

WHAT?

you come over like an unhealthy obsessed fanboy

i even like some flashbulb stuff, but goddamn you fanboys can be annoying and scary.. makes me want to delete all his tracks i have

same with BOC

because its not just "an ambient album using synthesizers." there's a reason he didn't say he was ripping off brian eno or tangerine dream. this album sounds like jean michel-jarre. even with notoriously bitchy electronic music fans i think the flashbulb might have survived as a semi credible artist **if** he didnt fucking sing! the flashbulb has the worst voice in history. and as if that's not bad enough he comes in with a vocoder and talks about his super deep philosophies and ideas over tracks. ooh you're totally blowing my mind benn! how about a sitar for good measure?
