Eternal Darkness is kinda fun, but flawed... the combat can be kind of shitty, samey and boring. Great atmosphere and fun story, though. If you like H.P. Lovecraft and that sort of thing you'll get a kick out of it.

The Gamecube remake of the original Resident Evil is absolutely classy too.

metroid prime is a really good game. id probably recommend that.

i couldn't recommend Mario Kart: Double Dash more. the game that really pulled me into games when i started at age 26. a must have classic racer that you want to get anyway. played it at friends until i got good then bought a silver gamecube that came with it as a promo deal.

Those are the greatest. Anybody who rags on any of those games has absolutely terrible taste in video games.

Is it better to play Twilight Princess and Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube or the Wii? I was under the impression it would be better on the Wii.

well Twilight Princess was engineered to be a GameCube game, but they later added all the Wii controls to it. then when they released it, they put out the Wii version first to get Wii's selling, and delayed the GC version till even later. never played the Wii version, so i can't really say if its more fun.

I can't speak for zelda, but RE4 is the best on the Wii.

It has the graphics of the gamecube, the extras that the ps2 version had, and an extra control scheme that many enjoy more (you can use the old control scheme in this game if you like as well). It's really a no-brainer.

bumping this shit because i'm still rocking the GC hard. i'm getting to the end of the good games though.

just completed RE4. loved it. playing it through again now with the chicago typewriter and the infinite rocket launcher.

nearly completed pikmin 2. its good but the main game is way too relaxed. no incentive to do anything hence why we haven't finished it yet. 2 player games are awesome though and tough too in places.

just bought then sold instantly original RE. hated the camera and controls.

just bought and about to instantly resell super smash bros melee. absolute shite.

trying to buy eternal darkness now.

after that i'm gonna get a ps3 when i find 500$ somewhere or my wife gets a job

you only need one button and a D-pad so i'm sure it plays fine

only played it briefly last night. i'll give it another go but my first impression is bad. i'm not into fighting games so much. thought it might be fun but its not really.
