while its certainly not the best film of all time, its still a great film. that scene near the end where orson welles loses it and destroys the room is really great. 'touch of evil' is a better film than kane, id say.

the american film institute rates it as the number one film of all time. that scene really is great though, i agree. it's just the ending... i would've liked welles to revisit the death scene, it would've wrapped it up much better imo. actually, i'm not a director or anything, so who am i to question genius? it's a great movie. the ending just felt unfinished.

wow! It may end up stinking (for one thing I'm not a fan of Grace Zabriskie) but it's hard to beat that story or lineup of talent. Herzog plus Lynch plus Defoe plus Udo Kier? Dayum.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

anyone heard of this new herzog film? the cast looks great

I wish Klaus Kinski could be in this...

Guest Benedict Cumberbatch

the road 7/10

music not too jarring, a little much in places. the death scene was a little overdone. and then guy pierce shows up. i dislike the ending to the book so i dislike it in the film too.

i went by myself. only the 2nd time ever. 1st time was inland empire.

the scene in the cannibal house was really scary.

better as a book but needed a better ending as a movie

im especially looking forward to seeing michael shannon playing the lead in that new herzog film. he has a genuinely intense presence. he was great in 'bug' and fantastic in 'shotgun stories'. probably one of the best american films of the past five years and no one seems to have seen it.

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) - 7/10 - A very well paced, no bullshit, heist film.

A mate of mine described the remake as the worst film he's ever seen.

the Tony Scott remake was embarrassing to watch

it's not the only remake though, there's another one with edward james olmos and vincent d'onofrio

I'm in an extremely foul and depressed mood and spent a night drinking and watching a few films. Tried watching the Herzog Bad Lieutenant but stopped it about 10 min in when Cage starts sucking face and smoking crack with the girl. So I put on 2012 instead. It was actually pretty much the perfect disaster movie. Thought it was much better than Independence Day or Day After Tomorrow. Only prob was John Cusack, he gave the very definition of a phoned-in performance. Emmerich's first solid film. 9/10.
