Who still listens to music on CD these days? I consider the physical copy just a backup. That goes for vinyl, too.

:omg: i like more cds & vinyls than mp3 or others shits (except in flac or ape or wav files if the vinyls or cds r hard 2 find/expensive 2 buy)

lol I was always scared that could happen to me too and I finally didnt bother the last few times I pulled out a new Cd... thank you for giving that wonderful example :D

Don't get me wrong - I love CDs and vinyl (mostly for their aesthetic value), but for convenience and ease-of-use, digital files reign supreme.

No, trust me, I'm as old-fashioned as they come (although I like physical objects more for the design behind the product than the product itself, like in the case of music artwork), but really, I just can't be bothered lugging around all my CDs that I might want to listen to at a moment's notice.

Yeah, I was more referring to the artwork, design, etc then the actual plastic disc itself. I do a lot of album cover and vinyl label design and illustration so I appreciate what goes into them. I don't lug around all of my CDs, that would be absurd. I just put a handful in my work bag and play them as needed. My commute each way is around a half hour so one CD at a time works just fine.

Mp3 and shit is so damn fucking technocratic, as 90% of the glitchy and cold 'music' released nowadays, I truly hate this. I remember beaing a kid spending a lot of time staring at my CDs, when you could built a whole world around it, that was ...bliss.

Let's hope some changes for the next decade, heh..

I don't understand people with stacks of cd's outside of their cases. They just don't "get it"

Could you translate in French ?

ça veut dire genre, "*roule des yeux* (  ).

detends-toi. regarde le soleil plutôt." (sous-entendu: au lieu de faire ton caca nerveux)
