I think I need to buy totems flare. I purchased Turning Dragon and love it - its filthy. Its the only Clark album I own, and by the sounds of it I need more.

Next for you: Totems Flare, then Body Riddle

'cept ETBOY came out in 2003

what's that

only one of the best idm releases of the last 10 years or so

I dunno whether to (literally) spell it out for you, or just fucking facepalm that statement...

aw, fuck it:

Empty The Bones Of You

And, here's the facepalm:

i never liked that album or any of his thrarence clottle era stuff

I like ETBOY a good bit, but the composition of the individual tracks feels a lot less fully developed than (most of) the tracks on his subsequent albums. ETBOY works really nicely as a whole, though.

slow spines on etboy is the shit. wolf, indigo optimus, holiday as brutality, those are just killer too.

one thing is for sure, he always has great titles and album/ep names and he is always pursuing personal progression.

My favorite Clark is a toss up between Empty The Bones Of You and Body Riddle. These are truly masterful records. With that said, I love every one of his albums. I can't wait to see where he goes next.

Beneboi told me his favorite Clark song is Slow Spines so I had to get ETBOY, that track is my favorite off that album for sure.

The fuckin middle drum breakdown groove section in Suns of Temper on Totems Flare is relatively simple but I think it's one of the most gangster moments in music I have heard so far.

I am going to get Body Riddle next (right now)

Nothing he makes will ever equal the pure, raw, emotional roller coaster that is Lord of the Dance.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

How can you forget Gob Eoitus!!! Brutal track...

Did you mean Gob Coitus? It's a great track. I like version in this vid even more than ETBOY one but can't find it anywhere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYV-FF9LEtE

thing about clark is that although his music is very good, he isn't an interesting enough character.

- he doesn't hide behind aliases and lie about stuff (afx)

- he isn't geeky and his music isn't geeky (ae)

- he doesn't have BOCfans (boc)

- he didn't flat with afx? is that what cylob did? i can't remember

- he doesn't use quirky samples that we can attempt to identify (vibert)

- *something about mike paradinas*

- he doesn't have an album his fans have been waiting on for years, nor is he the IDM underdog (plaid/tbd)

- he isn't daddy (tommy j)

i love clark as much as the next watmmer, but what threads would there be?

we've had the totems flare thread.

a compression thread could pop every few weeks?

he does the odd remix i guess

surely everyone has already expressed their fav tracks

i'd love to be proven wrong, but i think it would become a ghost town pretty quickly

totally agree you can see it as there are no 100 clark topics currently around. on the other hand its the artist that I would love to have a subforum for as his work is much better than cylobs for ex. who has a subforum

Other thread suggestions:

clark in films/tv thread.

what synth did clark use to make **** sound.

is **** artist clark?

Clarks religious/political views.

also we could start releasing fake clark tracks, stalk and videotape concerts?

I promise to make 5 threads a month for six months in Clark subforum if it's going start. That would be about 1/3 of cylob's subforum in six months just from me. :emotawesomepm9:

Funny, I always thought it was that, and then I pulled it up on my iPod when posting that, and it said "Eoitus" (with an umlaut above the "i" or "t" (can't recall). Damn mistagging!

You bring up very valid reasons why a Clark subforum, no matter how glorious, wouldn't get much traffic. I dunno - I guess we could give it a try... but I'm worried it will start a "well, Clark got his subforum, where's my Snares subforum? Where's my DMX Krew Subforum? FUCKING HELL, CEEPHAX SUBFORUM, MOTHERFUCKER!!1!

don't do it man!

Edited by David R James

That will no doubt happen if any subforum is ever added in the future. DONT LET THIS SCARE YOU PAPA CLARK NEEDS A SUBFORUM. Even if the subforum activity levels off, I think it will still be more active than a number of the subforums we have, and Clark is still actively releasing music and touring! Trust us, we'll be making it a point to keep it active lol
