EDGEY and Joyrex seem to think house and home are the same word jesus christ I think one of the major difference lies in the fact that the property is not co-owned, I don't have to share any public space with anyone, I don't have to share an elevator or a stairwell, I don't have to share my backyard, my frontyard, or my shed, I don't have to share my storage area, nor my driveway. The house, and the property is mine, there are no other owners on a floor above me, below me or otherwise. Noone steps on my property without my say, and if they do, I cock my shotgun on my rocking chair and say "get off my lawn", and well, the lawn? that's mine too. But I do understand the difference between the terminology "home" and "house". But I think there's a big difference between owning a house and "owning" a co-op or condo.
