And as far as what a hipster is, I don't think there's a consensus. It seems to be a blanket term.

I'm sure if some one dressed like a mod or something of the sort today, I'm sure they'd get the hipster tag.

these outfits are much more hipsterish than a lot of the yuppies people in here are posting. at least half of watmm doesn't see a distinction between scenesters, hipsters and brooklyn yuppies. not to split hairs on a topic as gay as this, but it seems like a lot of people here are convinced somebody is a hipster as long as they're not wearing a BOC shirt and cargo shorts.
