I just googled and found a mediafire link that seems to be the things.

I still would like to be able to own these in lossless quality.

I still kinda think these are by AFX.

Oh well. Internets!

PERSONAL ANECDOTE: I have good memories about Steinvord because some of my buddies arranged a bachelor party for me where we went to a New England Patriots (American) football game and spent the day before the game tailgating in the parking lot. I'm not sure if you Europeans know about tailgating, but you'll be familiar with the general impetus: before an exciting game you get to the stadium really early and bring food, meats, and fun things to do and all the fans throw a party/cookout in the parking lot.

Anyway, we're there among all the gung-ho fans eating junk food, it's cold, and my buddy Mike pulls out his little iPod player and the music he selects to blast from our little camp is... Steinvord. Again you may have to be American to understand how truly incongruous a musical choice that is among a typical football crowd. Awesome stuff.

Weirdly I went to look up some of these tracks just the other day as I remembered them to amazing, but couldn't remember the artist name at all. So thanks for the topic bump !

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

It's a bit odd that someone could have the production talent to make that music and then not do anything with it but copy existing styles?

I would like to listen to an album though.

i think most people who have skill feel more comfortable cloning other styles than making their own, it's a tale as old as time. not surprising in the least

~How many releases does he have? Only those myspace tracks and the upcoming album?

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

nice tracks, never heard these before, sounds like Aphex yeah.

tis extremely afxian at points, at least in some of the myspace tracks (thought i heard ziggomatic v1?), but sorta raw like b-side type work.

then the last track on the page (maelstrom) suddenly sounds like exactly something from go plastic. steinbolt and vordhosbn.

if this is not afx and/or sp then there's some styles being bitten hard.

..what ever happened to MEN records?

yeah, thought of Squarepusher as well with Maelstrom, a go plastic outtake, eventide mash-up. Probably the daddies having a laugh with a bunch of 'b-sides'.

tho it would be IDM as fuck if some basement-bound anorack perfected his emulation skill, his honed vst-craft derived from TRULY obsessive listening and then proceeded to infiltrate rephlex with his immaculate 12" ?? i dunno.. b-sides, prolly. heh.

listening to myspace rar now:

maelstrom : 18 yr old spanish kid running amens through granuliser with rapid panning while Squarepusher pitchshifts handfarts and dubsirens. AFX controls a reverb unit with one of those proddy sticks that spazzes wear on their heads to type with.

rules the read II : Dave Monolith noodling about one handed while AFX pours tea on a drum machine and does live soldering to synthguts

Ontrack v2 : Squarepusher overdosing on Sudafed in an illegal breadbin.

untitled : unreleased Drukqs tracqk found on a 12" lazer disc accidentally left on a bus in 1957. Stonker

room : synth becomes sentient and learns 2 chords

Untitled 9 : th'idiot on drums with Basslines sent live via fax machine from AFX's submarine - ends up with EOD and AFX jamming on a circuit bent Mini Munchman. Brilliant

Lyff /iyff (?) acid edit 1 : Richard's Mum definitely on production here. Well Welsh from start to finish. Top Notch

untitled 97 - sweet intro. reminds me of Impakt smashing in AFX's bumhole with an Antique Nord Modular. Sublime

untitled 11 - doesn't float my boat really

album review:

starts with an ambient intro. there's a synth that sounds like the one in tommib but it's got loads more reverb on it.

mental amen/think breaks emergy from the reverbed, melodic landscape and created 7 minutes of unhinged jungle mentalist mayhem.

second track is even more mental, bordering on noise for most of its 4 minute duration. sick.

third track is the most headfucking acid you will ever heard, like a mix of rotterdam gabber type shit meets analord on a grumpy day, lasts for 15 amazing minutes.

track 4 is just a recording of richard d james talking to a parrot or something??

track 5 more gorgeous ambient, straight ouf of saw vol. 3..

track 6 is an outro that sounds like recordings from the surface of neptune, great ending.

meanwhile - the local maternity ward - nurse comes in with a great big sledgehammer
