what book do you wish they would / are turning into a movie?

Recommended Posts

top of my list are two oldie but goodie action novels:

John Carter of Mars (Pixar), and Solomon Kane

Kane already has a trailer starring the excellent James Purefoy of Rome (Marc Antony)

of course we also have the never ending rumors of adaptations of classics like Rendezvous With Rama, Foundation, and Neuromancer but who knows if they'll ever get finished.

i wouldn't mind seeing Porn, the sequel to Trainspotting get off the ground with a 15 yr older cast, i'm sure some have not aged well. also, they need to flesh out the rest of the Douglas Adams books, Disney seems to consistently acquire excellent properties, then abandon them bc they're to "high concept" or some shit, they just bring on more terrible animated 3D movies.

I think Atop and I would agree that if it were possible to make a successful screen adaptation of "A Voyage to Arcturus" it would be incredible.

I'd also like to see the pagan fantasy novel Mythago Wood get adapted, and Michael Shea's short story about his character Niift the Lean's journey into hell could also make an incredible film.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

I'm reading the last of C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy, and the first two books would be interesting to see on screen in well-made animated films, especially Out of The Silent Planet. Very surreal.

Other than that, Audacity of Hope. Haven't read it and at most I would only netflix it or stream it online.

Revelation Space, but they'd both be awful.

this would be wicked if it worked, so many scenes I visualized as a movie when I read it. maybe chasm city would work better.

the hobbit is in production isn't it?

I got really excited about Guillermo Del Toro doing "At The Mountains of Madness", but that seemed to have fallen through with his involvement in The Hobbit.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

House of Leaves

This and Rendezvous With Rama, finally. It'd have to either unrecognisable from the book or combined with the second though, as nothing really actually happens in it. It'd look great though.
